What do you like best about Phocas Software?

It is my pleasure to write this letter of recommendation for Phocas, a Business Intelligence (BI) software that has been instrumental in enhancing our operations at Dixie Plywood & Lumber Company. As an early adopter of Phocas, we have experienced firsthand the benefits it offers in deepening our insight into critical business analytics.

Phocas has provided our management team and sales force with a better understanding of the overall business relationships between Dixie Plywood and our diverse customer base. The software's ability to present historical data in a variety of ways has allowed us to meet our customers’ needs more effectively by identifying buying patterns and suggesting complementary products. This strategic approach has helped us build stronger, more reliable partnerships with our customers.

What we have found particularly valuable is how Phocas empowers our salespeople. With direct access to data, they can make informed decisions and provide quick responses to customer inquiries. This has significantly reduced the need for our Information Systems department to generate reports, enabling us to work more efficiently and focus on customer service.

Phocas is both intuitive and user-friendly, allowing our team to utilize it effectively without the need for extensive training. At the same time, it delivers powerful, strategic insights that have contributed to Dixie Plywood’s success as not only a valued vendor but also a trusted partner in the eyes of our customers.

What do you like best about Phocas Software?

Now we have Phocas up and running and I understand how it works getting the neccessary data quickly is so easy. The Financial statements module is excellent and allows us to achieve our Monthly Management Accounts by day 3!

Once the intergration is set up it's seamless. We use Phocas every minute of everyday so we know where we are at.

What do you dislike about Phocas Software?

The system is fairly easy to use, if you want to get to admin level is does take a bit longer to understand all the working parts and how they affect each other.

No phone helpline or live chat, this would be so useful. The benefit of Phocas is you can access data quickly, however if the system returns a load of 0's you need to be able to call someone to understand what you are getting wrong. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Phocas Software?

Fantastic Data Consolidation bringing various sources together to enable the creation of insightful dashboards and reports, automated and ready to go for future use. Great for group reporting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Phocas Software?

A few glitches from time to time but the upside makes these well worth putting up with and you can find ways around the glitches if you try hard enough, strengthening your skills with the software. Support tickets are very helpful and timely if needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Phocas Software?

that our sales and inventory data is automatically uploaded into Phcoas every night makes looking at our data from the day before stress-free. it is so easy to manipulate and download if we want to use it for our own reporting as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Phocas Software?

Nothing major. I think one downfall is the cost of getting small features added into Phocas if they aren't already there. there should be discussions or voting for what gets developed with all of the user's fees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Phocas Software?

- Easy to use, navigate and understand comared to Microsoft Power BI which I also know.

- Easy to design and create reports

- Customer support are professional and quick to respond and solve issues.

- Our ERP doesn't have an open API available so the websynch tool is a plus.

- It becomes very expensive to get all the modules.

What do you like best about Phocas Software?

What do you like best about Phocas Software?

I love the versatility and insights that viewing the data at different angles affords. I also love that it's easy enough for our execs to use, but powerful enough to handle large volumes of data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Phocas Software?

Setup is a chore. Getting the numbers to match was kind of a pain. And combining data streams was difficult. However, our implementation specialist was a pleasure to deal with and we eventually got where we needed to be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Phocas Software?

The software is so easy to use, intuitive and really helps us get insights from our data.

The implemention was very easy and moulding the database to our needs adhoc has been such a benefit to our business.

Integrating the tool into the business has been easy, with people being able to go with a quick 30 minute training session and people are now using it daily.

What do you dislike about Phocas Software?

Lack of Excel multi sheet and scheduling to emails outside of Phocas is annoying. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Phocas Software?

Easy of use is a highlight to using Phocas BI, linking our sales and financial data we can easily and quickly get the results we need.

Phocas is linked to NetSuite ERP and if Phocas is not displaying the data exaclty to our requirements we can amend the Phocas saved searches in NetSuite.

What do you dislike about Phocas Software?

Any future integreation to other data sources can only be done by Phocas.
