What do you like best about Perceptive Content?

I love having the ability to upload and store all necessary student documents. We can easily capture a student packet, as well as a business office and financial aid scholarship and payment information. We can then quickly reference the documents that we need to find. We assign specific workflows to particular departments; that way, everything stays nice and clean, and I don't have to worry about documents that I don't need. Because I work for two different areas of the university, I have two different application sets that I can link to and view. This capability makes it easy to switch back and forth between students populations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Perceptive Content?

I do not have permission to print documents directly from the student's Perceptive file. This issue may be our university policy, but I currently have to print screen a file and then paste and print from another program. We sometimes also have issues where one department is not seeing our captured documents. This, however, can be easily fixed by correcting the workflow. The key is to make sure that EVERYONE who will need access to those documents at some point--for instance, if covering for someone that is on leave, can view that specific workflow. It's better to be proactive in that situation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Perceptive Content?

The window walker feature is a great tool that's surprisingly easy to use. The feature allows you to take pieces of metadata from tabled forms in other applications all with a single click (a feature I've not seen rivaled by competitors as easily/intuitively). The management console is user-friendly as well, making complex workflows simple with point and click setup options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Perceptive Content?

The cost and upkeep are two points that soured me on the product, especially if you're company plans to use Perceptive Content as a document repository. Products like Microsoft Sharepoint can easily replicate many features and functionalities of Perceptive Content if you possess the technical know-how. The license cost, costs associated with server maintenance, annual fees on scanning stations all made the elimination of Perceptive Content a fairly easy decision.
