People data labs are a great source for business owners and sales teams to get some quality data. Once you get used to the software, it is easy to adopt and scale. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The technical adoption part is a bit difficult to adopt and understand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The API is well documented and relatively easy to use. You can use elastic search queries to do finely tuned searches. Also, their upcoming Company Insights endpoint will be a game-changer in data analysis of a companies' health and growth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are some data quality issues. For example, the data seems to trust LinkedIn a bit much. I have found cases in which random LinkedIn profiles would say they are the company's CEO, but that doesn't match public sources. Also, if a person is not on LinkedIn, they will not show up in search results or be counted towards a companies' employee total. Also, there is no GUI for querying the data, just a GUI for building the query string. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
PDL sales and system processes are very clear-cut and easy to follow. While we are but a start-up, we appreciated the attention from PDL's CEO to work through our sales issues. Once the contract was signed, we immediately were ushered into a good cadence from PDLs customer success. It's great to have an army of PDL support behind us. Besides the people, the data product is also excellent. It's high-quality, thoughtfully organized, and easily accessible. It's clear the PDL has a strong trajectory of improvement as updates roll out quarterly and monthly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The sales model is a little funky - you can purchase API credits or "slices" of the data. Both options had us weighing painful trade-offs when perhaps a custom way to access all PDLs data would have been ideal. The data is clean, but improvements could always be made, especially on phone numbers. More profiles and more richness should always be PDLs goal - especially getting data from LinkedIn profiles. Easy ways to query the database , support is also really good. They get on a call with you if there is any problem your are facing. The amount nof data is also huge Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
A would have liked if there were more fields to query . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

People Data Labs has managed to build an extremely extensive data platform with their innovative data co-op approach. The applications that can benefit from this resource are uncountable and really only bound by their creators' imaginations. However the greatest strength of the PDL platform is the level of command the PDL team has attained over managing updates and additions to the data set. I am equally satisfied with PDL's attention to customer success and satisfaction, well done. In gegeral, the company has grown in a thoughtful and timely manner. Not by any means unique to PDL's products, the problem of data recency is one area for constant improvement. Granted, there is a natural and unavoidable latency between events happening in the real world (e.g. someone completing their Mster's Degree) and that information payload making its way through the various pertinent data sources and eventually to consolidated, consumable data outlets like the PDL API. Any improvement to the length of time this latency occupies would be a very welcome improvement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Allows us to easily enrich our leads with extra firmographic information Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Would be great to have a higher match rate, but it is still very useful Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It just works. Set it up one time and it's continued to work with basically no interruption or maintenance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
If there was some more consistent data formatting (like for phone numbers), that would be nice, but not a deal-breaker. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Horizontal information. Job history and other details like skills education. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is no contact validation score. That score would have been helpful in removing low confidence contacts Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The team listens to our needs and improves the data/API's for every new release. And they're quick with making these improvements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The data is not always perfect in terms of freshness or accuracy, but it is definitely within a tolerable range, and most importantly, it is definitely getting better for every new release. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
