It's hard to believe this company is part of pay pal never has an issue since 2012 this is my email to them tells it all.
Good day as per our conversation with your fraud department these orders should have been flagged as fraud as they were 5 or 6 with the same issue order coming from the owner of card shipping to an apartment address all the same item same amount. the purpose of having a processor is to minimize our exposer to these types of fraud. We have used pay pal and Amazon for years and have never seen this lack of taking responsibility for these many fraud charges coming in a 2 day period.so theirs no need to continue this conversation as we are not that crazy to allow a company like yours to mishandle our charges that has no control with the simple fraud prevention so considered you self-fired .please give us an accounting of all the charges since we were never paid on any of them it should not take much to bring it to balance. we will send you a check once we accept the charges that we are responsible for please do not debit our bank account as we no longer are giving you permission to do so. would like this taken care of this quick thank you Sammy Cruz CEO Diy Part Center Inc. We were waiting over 7 months (I will repeat - 7 months!!!!) and sent multiple emails with requests to handle a straightforward case!!!! The best part of this network is that Braintree Payment Acceptance is pretty smooth because clients have already stored their card details on our e-commerce website. That was convenient for our clients because they don't have to offer their card details every time, we order them over the web. So, I appreciate the opportunity to protect credit card details anytime our client wants us to do so. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only downside I have to live with is that it's not meant for company owners with a physical shop, although it can be used for PayPal software for personal transactions. There are a lot of physical store owners and they want to make use of this facility, but Braintree doesn't offer this opportunity and that's a big disadvantage. Braintree Payments (a PayPal company) is a scam and nobody should sign up for it, just like it's parent company is a scam.
We have used it for exactly 10 days before we had to pull the plug from using it. This is the story - we are a Cyprus based company (EU) but our eCommerce website's main currency is USD. When we signed up with Braintree Payments, we have told them that we would like to be paid in USD and that USD should be the default currency of the account. We've added a USD bank account to our Braintree account, it is a USD account even that the bank itself is located in Cyprus. So we had a USD account, were paid in USD, and we have asked them to settle the payments into a USD account. However, to our horror, we've discovered that Briantree FORCES us to convert our funds to Euro before they made the deposit into our bank account, converting the USD to Euro with a horrible rate (of course) which ended up with a total processing fee of 8%. We, of course, stopped using them immediately, and they refused to compensate us for this little scam that they've pulled on us, saying that if we wanted to settle in USD, we would have to apply again.
I want to stress, again, that we were told that our "default currency" is USD and not in a million years we would imagine that for "some reason" (the reason being - they want to make more profit) they would FORCE us to convert the funds to Euro before settling. Again, the real reason that they are doing this is so they can make some extra cash on the currency conversion spread. This is something that PayPal, which owns Braintree has been doing for years, and there were and are dozens of lawsuits against PayPal around the world for them forcing all sorts of fees relating to currency conversions on their customers.

I'm a seller from EU, HUngary, got payments from all over the world. I've closed my EUR bank account, which was accepted by BT. First awful service: they continue accept payments at the payment gateway, transfer the cash, which were returned to them. But - and this is the disgusting part - they don't send a single mail about the refused payments.
Later realized I missed the payments, so wrote to the support. Not a joke, talked to at least 5 people, all were incompetent, I just wanted to get money to my HUF account. Why they refused to transfer? They are not sure my HUF bank account could accept EUR transfers. In 2019, this is nonsense.
I've asked my bank to send me a certificate my account could accept EUR. They wrote it. BT refused to accept it.
So I reopened my original bank account, the EUR one. All details are the same, asked BT to transfer. Their excuse: on my bank statement there is the SWIFT number of my bank, but they need the BIC. Which are the same.
Since October of 2018, since more than a half year I want to have my money.

We have been their customers for years with two different and very well known web services. Unfortunately when there is a problem their support team and their risk team has some important issues:
1 - very slow
2 - do not help in solving the problem
3 - no customer care

For me, the fees are lower than those with other providers like Stripe etc.

It was a bit complicated to set up the risk/security bits on my profile, as I am just starting out and the questions were difficult to answer. But I just had to get really informed about this serious business of taking payments and then that was sorted too. The customer support was also helpful to get this sorted.
