We use their security measures and have had 30 disputes which we are losing because "card not present". How is an online processor supposed to be trusted if the reason a company loses disputes is because the card wasn't present. There are addresses we sent the physical products to, so there is obviously someone that can be found to pay the credit card company. We stopped using them and went back to PayPal. Trust the reviews, Braintree is garbage. I will say, billing address matches, AVS matches, CVV matches, etc. and still we lose disputes because the customer had it shipped to a different address. Braintree is incredibly easy to use with regards to seeing charges, making charges, refunding, voiding, and handling disputes. The way it is integrated within our existing systems makes it easy to use for pulling information for customers and their transactions. The analytics and pulling multiple records for customers are not easy to use and clunky. It is overly complicated and difficult to search for customer transactions and pull charges on a mass scale. Beware - the worst nonexistent customer service in the history of credit card processors. Just try getting a live customer service person on the phone. Every call goes to paypal and they have no Braintree merchant processing customer service reps. totally unacceptable and when you have fraud on your merchant account, you just want to speak to someone who can help you on the phone, you wont be able to do that with braintree so you should know this before signing them up for your credit card processing. I love the ability to easily refund/void transactions as well as search for specific details to locate a customer's transaction~ Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish you did not have to search by the date in order to find the transaction. I wish regardless it would show the transaction if you put in the transaction ID. It took a little while to figure out what the issue was and if the transaction ID was from October but you are in the month of November, you need to change the dates ahead of time. The payment terminal is pretty straightforward and the UI is not bad. We get a handful of disputes each year and unless it's fraud, we have a chance of winning the dispute which is important for a small company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When a customer initially disputes a charge, the amount of the transaction is taken from the daily deposit amount, but it isn't notated anywhere within the daily deposit (so your amounts between braintree and your bank are different). I do not know why they don't just include the dispute with the settlement batch. When taking a payment, if you use a comma in the amount of the transaction, it will cause an error and take you to the same page without the credit card number which is infuriating. As financial software, this seems ridiculous, and I have had to ask customers for their card number more than once on many occasions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It does solve the payments problem and takes off the hustle of implementing the home-built solutions, especially with the EU enforcing more secure payments. Although, it does not do a great job at it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We have tried to get them to do one simple thing for us, taking advantage of a part of their basic services. Unfortunately, it's impossible to get any response. We have prepared everything, expected the verification process is to be 2 weeks at most. Lots of development and business work was put in, hoping we would get something out of the investment and the only bottleneck we have experienced is 3 months without a response from Braintree reps. It's hard to believe this company is part of pay pal never has an issue since 2012 this is my email to them tells it all.
Good day as per our conversation with your fraud department these orders should have been flagged as fraud as they were 5 or 6 with the same issue order coming from the owner of card shipping to an apartment address all the same item same amount. the purpose of having a processor is to minimize our exposer to these types of fraud. We have used pay pal and Amazon for years and have never seen this lack of taking responsibility for these many fraud charges coming in a 2 day period.so theirs no need to continue this conversation as we are not that crazy to allow a company like yours to mishandle our charges that has no control with the simple fraud prevention so considered you self-fired .please give us an accounting of all the charges since we were never paid on any of them it should not take much to bring it to balance. we will send you a check once we accept the charges that we are responsible for please do not debit our bank account as we no longer are giving you permission to do so. would like this taken care of this quick thank you Sammy Cruz CEO Diy Part Center Inc.
