I’ve been using Palo Alto Networks’ IoT/OT solution for a while now, and overall, it’s been a great addition to our security setup. The platform does an excellent job of detecting and preventing threats across our connected devices, which gives us a lot of peace of mind. What I really appreciate is how it seamlessly integrates with other Palo Alto tools, like their firewalls, so we can manage everything in one place. The behavioral analysis feature that spots unusual device activity has been super helpful, and it’s caught things we might have otherwise missed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
On the other side, getting everything set up wasn't easy. It took some time and patience, and if you don’t have someone with technical konwledge on your team, it might feel a bit overwhelming. Also, the pricing can be a bit steep, especially for smaller companies. But overall, if security is a big priority for your organization and you have a lot of connected devices to manage, I think it’s definitely worth the investment. Once it’s all set up, the protection and visibility it provides are hard to beat. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I really appreciate about Palo Alto Networks IoT/OT Security is its ability to give me clear visibility and control over all connected devices. The advanced threat detection is impressive, and it integrates smoothly with our existing security systems, helping to keep our critical operations safe from cyber threats. One downside of Palo Alto Networks IoT/OT Security is that it can be complex to configure and manage, especially for teams without extensive cybersecurity expertise. Additionally, the cost of implementation and ongoing maintenance can be a concern for some organizations, potentially limiting accessibility for smaller businesses. It makes our network secure, I like it because we know that only people with access will be able to make changes to our common tools. We use it to protect other people from accessing things like: Github repos, pushing and pulling code, Microsoft logins like Outlook fo example. And a user without access to our VPN can not run the project locally nor on dev environments. So far is good, I've never in a position where I need to call Customer Support. In order for me to set it up on Linux Ubuntu 24.04 LTS was a pain. I would love to see a better-easier way to do it. Normally at least once a week I have to run some commands to clean credentials and redo them. This happens on Linux only. Something I hate is that as well, when I disconnect from one gateway to connect to other one or just to disconnect from the VPN, it keeps hanging, I have to toggle on/off the WiFi. This last point happens on Ubuntu and MacOS too. Also the design on Ubuntu is horrible. Basically with Linux/Ubuntu, wasn't easy for me to integrate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Prisma Cloud has it's complications when deploying into an Azure/AWS with On-Prem environment. However, the documentation and vendor support makes it straightforward. Once integrated, we can view metrics frequently on resource utilization, security metrics, anomaly detection, encryption, network speed. It's easy to integrate different features within it. They come on custom VM images which many times gets errors within Azure with extensions not working properly, and Microsoft Azure often times doesn't offer support for custom Palo Alto imaged VMs and kind of leaves you with the wolves when things go bad.
So probably make sure you have a fool proof plan of redundant nodes for high availability, keep backups and be careful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

While Palo Alto Networks IoT/OT Security offers robust protection and advanced threat detection, there are a few areas that could be improved. The initial setup and configuration process can be complex, requiring a steep learning curve, especially for teams without prior experience with Palo Alto solutions. Additionally, the pricing structure could be more flexible to accommodate different business sizes and budgets. Some users may also find that certain integrations require additional fine-tuning to work seamlessly. Despite these minor drawbacks, the overall security and visibility it provides are excellent. Their platform offers deep visibility into network traffic, device behavior, and threat patterns, allowing for the identification and mitigation of potential risks in real-time. Additionally, their security policies are designed to be adaptive, helping organizations to secure their OT/IoT environments while maintaining operational continuity. One potential drawback of Palo Alto Networks' IoT/OT Security offering is its complexity, particularly for organizations that lack deep expertise in cybersecurity or OT/IoT environments. The breadth of features and integration capabilities can sometimes make the solution challenging to deploy and manage effectively, especially for smaller organizations or those with limited IT/OT convergence experience. Security features align with standard, good for IoT.
Integrate well with okta and VPN used by broadcom.easy to use and feel protected clear and good user interface. Checked the princing from the appliance to subscription it's not affordable for small company. You still have to work on few automation capabilities or make it a bit more available for small business. As for the few research made work well for business that can effort the cost Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I do appreciate Palo Alto Networks in its Comprehensive Protection, as well as its Advanced threat detection, their security solutions use machine learning and AI to detect anomalies and threats in real time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Few drawbacks, i can mention here about the complexity of setup and management and another aspect is the cost- Palo Alto Networks solutions can be expensive, making smaller organizations with smaller budget to procure it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Palo Alto Networks IoT/OT Security are a game-changer for network security. It gives us a crystal-clear view of every device connected to our network, making it easy to spot vulnerabilities and fix them quickly. Plus, it's automatic security policy updates keeps us ahead of the curve, saving us time and effort. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I feel that the interface a bit too complicated for someone that isnt using it on a daily basis. I often have to take time to help out my collegues, any other person that i am dealing with. I personally feel its just because there are so many functionalities, and options available. but for someone new, its tough to toggle around. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that it has a good ability to identify devices and see insights into their behavior. The deployment process is fairly straightforward, especially when adding to an existing Palo Alto network. I would say the interoperabilty of the firewalls and Cortex platform make it easier to unify security accross environments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The cost is a big hit, especially for smaller organizations. The system is resource intensive and can demand a lot from the network. From a standpoint of using highly isolated OT environments, the dependancy on cloud networks can be a drawback. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Benefits
1- The ease of manual effort, detention and automated classification of the various devices that may be in an infrastructure.this leads us to have better control of all devices in the company.
2- The implementation is slightly easy, because I say slightly, due to the fact that before implementing you must have a good documentation and have had a few trainings. However, it is like everything new in life, at the beginning it is complicated but after getting to know it you realize that it is much simpler than other software. So I give it a plus in this section because it is simpler than the others.
3- The facility to detect threats, as well as the prevention of them, this is of utmost importance because it will facilitate the life of administrators, as these are usually implemented at the industrial level will make them much more comfortable the management of all devices.
4-The technical support is always available at the time of any implementation. So if you have any questions, their support page has many forums and documents that can help in any situation. And if that's not enough, you can get support with a more specific case. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Disadvantages
The price, as well as the system itself, can be very excessive for small companies as well as those with limited exposure to iot.
For larger, more complex systems, significant modifications may be necessary to bring the system up to the level of the company or industry that purchases it, so these modifications can be very tedious depending on the size of the company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
