What do you like best about Oracle JDeveloper?

Oracle JDeveloper is a very good and very powerful development environment that tries to simplify tasks and help when developing it.

JDeveloper integrates several development environments such as: HTML, Java, XML, PHP and databases.

I like how Oracle JDeveloper always looks for ways to simplify tasks at the time of development and with a simple "next, next, next" can develop extensive lines of code and templates to simplify the development of a code.

It has a very comfortable, intuitive and easy to use interface for the user and is developed in several languages, which I think is great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle JDeveloper?

Oracle JDeveloper is a very very heavy program. it always takes a long time to run, its load and runtime really should improve, I find it very slow and when installing this application its configuration can be complicated and tedious. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Oracle JDeveloper:

Oracle JDeveloper is a very powerful tool when you want to develop HTML, PHP, Java, XML and SQL languages.

It is a really good software that helps a lot in the development and always tries to simplify the development of the code, which makes it a good tool to save time and money. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Oracle JDeveloper solving and how is that benefiting you?

As a SOA consultant, I always use Oracle JDeveloper in its 11g version. I think that this version is the best one that develops in this branch.

I use JDeveloper as a tool to create JCA adapters for SOA service operations that helps me and simplifies the work by generating several XML files essential for the development of an SOA web service.

It is a tool that helps me save a lot of time in the development of work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Oracle JDeveloper?

JDeveloper is Oracle's category tool for the development of high-level enterprise applications and a robust architecture, perfect for scalable and powerful maintenance. The development of applications in Oracle JDeveloper is based on a graphical model, where you can create templates, task flow, active directories, security in applications; related to J2EE architecture and JSF as its most powerful use.

You can do several projects, be it Java, Struts, JSF, ADF, Integration with Excel. Tool currently in use by the company. More than anyone, he has given us benefits for his unification of work in all layers of architecture. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle JDeveloper?

JDeveloper, like some Oracle products, is extremely heavy. To perform jobs and run packages and perform a runtime in a time that takes a long time, once it requires a large disk space and consumes much more RAM to maintain its operations.

It often has errors or unmanageable errors, which can only be resolved by closing or restarting the application, it should not be so, but if it is not executed, the development can not be continued.

The connectivity that the IDE makes with a server computer, either physical or in the cloud, is unstable in many cases. It always fails, and adjustments must be made constantly in that area. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Oracle JDeveloper:

I consider it a complete IDE, it has tools and features that make it unique. Especially for the unified work mode between layers. You can develop a complete commercial application with this powerful IDE. They should review the problem of excessive memory usage, perhaps the migration of some internal processes to requests for external packages or services.

IDE of high quality, but the environment where it operates is very expensive. All the infrastructure that revolves around Oracle JDeveloper is expensive, and its maintenance and version should always be evaluated in finance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Oracle JDeveloper solving and how is that benefiting you?

Oracle JDevelper has allowed us to develop high level commercial applications, with a quality in each outstanding process. The unified development of the layers in the IDE makes it much more powerful and customer delivery times have grown considerably since its use in the company.
