I liked the features of the system. It was new for us and opened our eyes to new possibilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Overall, it was a rough and challenging implementation within the company. Therefore, there were many bugs and glitches within the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
BigMachine allowed our purchasing team to quickly input formulas for quoting purposes and helped streamline our processes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When there was a mistake in the formulas, it was a long process to locate the issue and find the right person to fix it. This may have just been an internal issue, but it caused a lot of delays for our team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Oracle CPQ was selected among other top end CPQ products. The configuration of the product and customers was easy. The performance of the system was admirable and the ability to manage and configure price tiers was a differentiator. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Oracle CPQ screens are configurable to user preferences. A slicker interface with pre-built integration to SFDC would have been beneficial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ease of creating product rules and configurations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Lack of support from the team. Unable to mass delete rules (manual deletion, one rule at a time) - not scalable. Our instance broke and when escalated to Oracle, we were told we had too many SKUs and rules that their application couldn't handle. Issue has yet to be resolved, pending almost a year now. I like the fact that I am able to set pricing easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It was a little difficult to navigate in the beginning, but became easy after getting used to it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

CPQ has enabled us to create a cloud based product configurator for our customers to use. Customers can come to our site, configure products get instant pricing, get product specifications and customized drawings, and approve quotes (which will become orders). This is a recent implementation but with expert help from the Oracle consultants we have successfully launched it and look forward to the benefits of our company being easier to do business with. The system, implementation and ongoing consulting is a bit pricey. We are slowly absorbing the technical aspects to allow us to make our own modifications without the need for consulting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Oracle CPQ is the best CPQ software that I can think of today when we consider having a solution which integrates not just with Oracle CRM but with any CRM and back end ERP tools.
- I like the way Oracle has provided its own scripting language to further extend the platform to do things which are generally not possible with point and click.
- User Interface - fully customizable user interface
- Document Engine - The use of templates and a powerful doc generation capability makes Oracle CPQ easy to implement for customers who have complex Doc Gen requirements Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- Need ability to have Models within models.
- Need ability to have a flexible array structure - Resizable columns, header colors should be different, collapsible.
- Object Oriented approach - CPQ does not take a object oriented approach like all leading software in the industry making it difficult to administer as the table structure is pretty flat. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
