What do you like best about Opsgenie?

Opsgenie is a part of the Atlassian suite and the layout will look like Jira. There are many options to tailor a schedule, send an e-mail, and input a schedule. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Opsgenie?

The platform can be very confusing especially adding a schedule that changes every week. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Opsgenie solving and how is that benefiting you?

We purchased Opsgenie to replace Pagerduty because we had Jira as a ticketing system. Since Opsgenie is a part of the Atlassian suite, this option was chosen to save money and consolidate products under one umbrella. We use Opsgenie so other departments can open P1 tickets to alert who is on call for that day in order to respond to any incidents. There is an option for Slack integration, e-mail, and text messaging to reach the intended party. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Opsgenie?

The ease of setting up integrations and scheduling. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Opsgenie?

There are a couple of pain points that have been communicated for several years that they have chosen not to fix. This seems very trivial, but when looking at the on-call schedule, every user has a color. There is no way to manually change the colors so you could have more than one user with the same color as the following user which makes it visually impossible to see at a glance who is on-call Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Opsgenie solving and how is that benefiting you?

Opsgenie solves our problem of 'getting our users out of bed' when there is a problem that needs to be address immediately. Previously, we relied on emails, text messages and chat notifications and needed something a bit more intrusive with an escalation so that if John didn't get out of bed to Ack an alert, Johns supervisor would then get alerted. What do you like best about Opsgenie?

The integration itself is seamless. As we have integrated this to our Zendesk instance, any escalations that would need backend intervention are being sent easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Opsgenie?

Alerts can be pretty much annoying to the point that user will have no choice but to unforego delay and just dive right through the problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Opsgenie solving and how is that benefiting you?

For any cases that are highly technical, our support agents are utilizing OPSGenie to send these escalations to backend team. For backend team, this is a less cluttered platform whereby it allows them to focus on the resolution. The alerts itself on drill raises an alarm internally so that stakeholders can go on a call to solve the issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Opsgenie?

What I like best about Opsgenie is that it automates all my incident processes. I don´t have to worry about if my team got the alerts or is assigned correctly, Opsgenie manages all that for me in a simple way. Anybody can setup Opsgenie. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Opsgenie?

What I don't like about Opsgenie is that it doesn't give me a Microsoft Teams option for the incident conference room, my organization does not use Zoom so that feature is not useful to me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
