Signal allows you to easily make group chats or direct message people while keeping different chat groups distinct and clear. It's easy enough to reply to messages and emoji reactions. I also appreciate the feeling that the messages are secure, I'm not an expert in encryption so I have to trust people who build their careers around this stuff, but it is boasted to be one of the best and I like that. My only complaint about Signal is the fact that if you are in an active group, it can be tough to catch up if you are behind. I will sometimes come back to over a hundred notifications, and knowing I'll just need to scroll through and try to skim is very difficult. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I just like the fact that Sigal is the best I can do to protect myself and my privacy from snooping from hopefully all actors, big and small. Another thing I like is the range of features and the clean interface. Another cool thing is it is available on almost any platform imaginable. The only downside is the lack of uptake. I have only a handful of friends and family who have installed it and not all of them are regularly using it. I wish more people used it and it can be my primary mode of communication. Of course it is not a ding on the app itself and hopefully people will ultimately educate themselves more and realize this tool is here for checks all the boxes.
