Their customer service is unmatched and their advanced features are always far beyond any of their competitors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is so much you can do with OneCause that it can feel intimidating to some users who are not good with technology. I find that I need to often spend time with staff who are less comfortable with technology to help them reduce down all the features to the minimum they need to be successful. Multi level software designed and improved to help fundraisers where they are at! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is not a standalone CRM - you will need another platform to manage your donors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

OneCause provides an intuitive and easy-to-navigate interface, which is beneficial for both organizers and participants of fundraising events. The platform offers robust tools for planning and managing various types of fundraising events, including auctions, galas, and peer-to-peer campaigns. This includes everything from ticket sales to seating arrangements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The pricing structure of OneCause can be relatively high, especially for smaller nonprofits with limited budgets. The costs associated with premium features and transaction fees might be a concern. Despite its user-friendly interface, there can still be a learning curve for new users. Some users might find it challenging to fully utilize all the features without adequate training. While OneCause offers a range of customization options, some users may find them insufficient for highly specific or unique fundraising needs. More flexibility in design and functionality could be beneficial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The day that our silent auction was scheduled to go live, I realized that our supporters were having technical difficulties - they were unable to access the silent auction items! It was almost 5 PM when this was brought to our attention, and I was panicked, how were we going to fix this!! I quickly called OneCause support and explained our situation. Answering on the other end was Tamra, who helped set me at ease, and talked me through the steps of resolving our technical difficulties for our users.
I was so, so grateful for Tamra's upbeat attitude and patience as I rambled through my problem. Her can-do confidence and genuine kindness were much needed as I delt with this after hours "emergency." Tamra, thank you for your help and support!! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only issue we encountered was that our silent auction did not go live when we thought it would. After a quick call to OneCause support, we were able to get it up and running and make sure the items were accessible to our supporters. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Excellent donor/guest experience, good back-end experience and tools. Flexibility within the platform to do the things I want to within my events.
The look and feel of my event website is fully customizable with platforms like Canva, and others, which does not take a web programming genius.
Excellent product documentation and knowledgebase for figuring out problems or "how do I do...", and excellent customer service access through chat, email, or phone to help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is not as intuitive as other platforms, but that is a tradeoff for the amount of features and platform flexibility. I have also found that the guest/donor experience is better because of that tradeoff.
Sometimes it is easy to forget what feature does what, or what report gives you the data you want, so there is some trial and error, dependong on how many events you do in a year.
There are some little random settings that you need to remember to either activate or de-activate to get things to work right. It takes going through the setup a few times to remember and figure this out, but ultimately, it's not a big deal.
It takes some trial and error with the image sizes for the websites you build, that can be a bit frustrating, but ultimately worthwhile, because it give you more control over the look, feel, and function. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
OneCause was a complete solution for our event, from selling tickets/sponsorships, hosting an event webpage, providing an electronic online and on site auction, seating/table assignments, checkin/out, handling donations, and payments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I haven't used any other systems except for home grown spreadsheets. It seems to do all we need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
OneCause is very userfriendly and when I don't know how to do something, their training videos and websites are very helpful as is customer service when I need a little more help! We've used OneCause for over a decade and I've been working with it for the past three years for our event planning. We've had events where OneCause provided support persons and equipment and we've had events that were completely DIY. As the event is approaching and ending, I use OneCause multiple times a day to track progress and do post-event reports. Our most recent experience with OneCause was for a golf tournament (a new event for us) and integration and implemtation was easy and seemless! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My only issue with OneCause is when I'm entering items for our auctions and click Save and Next, it doesn't always save my entry. It's not a deterrent, I just go about entering, saving, and entering the next item differently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

OneCause is helpful as an event platform because EVERYTHING happens inside the software - setting up ticket sales, uploading items, guests purchasing tickets, etc. There are a number of features that are easy to use. When you have a question, there is always an answer through customer support. This was our third year working with OneCause and our pre-event check ins were so helpful in making sure we had things set up the way we wanted. This past year we were comfortable enough to go from 2 on-site support staff down to 1 because our volunteers are familiar and the software is user-friendly. After the event, the reports help our committee analyze the items we should sell again, what was popular, and what maybe to leave out next year. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The cost is a big factor in utilizing the software, as we are a small private non-profit school. We have found it useful enough to continue our contract for 3 years. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Our organization loves how OneCause just works - very rarely do issues pop up that aren't resolved very easily and quickly. The OneCause staff is also incredibly helpful, patient, knowledgeable, and responsive. They are a pleasure to work with and clearly care about our organization's success! The only downside I can think of is that as the software has changed, the training videos have not all been updated yet. Some of those changes occurred while I was in the middle of training on how to use the system, so I then had to re-learn/familiarize myself with parts of it on my own. Additionally, the fact that each email can only be used for one ticket purchase (as in, spouses cannot use the same email for two separate tickets) caused issues with some of our guests.
