The simplicity of Nuxeo's interface makes interacting with the system very easy. Because there are not very many advanced functions (which can be seen as a detriment), there are not many opportunities to struggle with the program. The ability to assign access levels to each user that determine which folders they can and cannot read and/or edit is very beneficial for a large organization with many departments. Navigating through Nuxeo can be very clunky. With many of our organizational assets in complex file structures, it can be frustrating to click through the hierarchy to access the documents that you need. A side bar showing the compressed folder structure helps with this in some regards, but the user experience could definitely use more streamlining. When implementing a document management system in a large organization, it is essential that it be easy to incorporate the program into existing workflows. If working with the document management system takes people out of their established routines, they will resist, and that is something that I have seen first-hand with Nuxeo. The biggest detriment that I have experienced with this system is that you cannot view thumbnails at the folder level. Instead, you can only preview a document by clicking into the individual record, which is very inconvenient. Batch downloading the contents of a folder is also not possible, making it necessary to manually click download dozens, or even hundreds, of images at a time if you want to copy them to your desktop. Much of what may get customized in Nuxeo can be done "headless" via the APIs and this is how I have approached its use to date. While there are some use cases where access to documents and/or content via Nuxeo's Web UI would be valuable, our user-base is best served by knowing as little as necessary to do their jobs. Nuxeo is a powerful open-source CMS for enterprise content management and provides tons of features. It is developer-friendly, and there are plenty of opportunities for developers to dive deeply into it and customize it. We can achieve most of the things we want through their operations chain, and we like this feature. The only part about which we don't feel good is the Nuxeo UI, as well as the Studio that comes with a subscription. To create the data types and workflows without using the Studio, Nuxeo should provide some documentation so that users who do not want to use Nuxeo Studio can benefit from it. I found it a bit difficult to customize since your documentation is poor, it would be a good thing to improve on this point.
