What do you like best about No-IP Remote Access?

I’ve been using No-IP for quite some time, and what I really like is how easy it is to set up, especially for dynamic DNS. I can link my devices to a subdomain pretty quickly, and if the device can’t handle the dynamic IP updates itself, their little utility tool does the trick. It’s a simple install, and after that, it just works in the background without any hassle. Changes to DNS records are pretty fast, so I’m not stuck waiting when I need to make updates. Overall, it’s dependable and makes remote access way simpler. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about No-IP Remote Access?

While the free version is pretty good, there are some limitations, like having to renew your hostnames periodically and fewer customization options. Also, the interface could use a bit of an update—it works fine, but it looks a bit outdated in places. Nothing major, but a refresh would make it nicer to use. For more features and fewer restrictions, their paid plans might be worth considering. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is No-IP Remote Access solving and how is that benefiting you?

No-IP solves the hassle of changing IP addresses for me. My ISP frequently updates my public IP, which used to mean I had to keep track of these changes or risk losing access to my home network. With No-IP, it automatically updates my IP address with a consistent hostname. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about No-IP Remote Access?

This tool is really powerful when you don't have public static ip address, because it can regularly update your current public ip address to the no ip server. In the no ip account, I already setup the hostname that I am going to use, and I install no ip DUC in my device to make sure that it will send the update regularly. After that, I can freely use the predefined hostname if I want to access my internal network anywhere. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about No-IP Remote Access?

Although it can bypass the dynamic ip address, no ip still cannot bypass any ISP restriction, specially when they block the incoming request to specific port. For example if the ISP does not allow any remote desktop activity and block it, then it would be really hard to make it works with no ip. We need to setup the rerouting scenario in the router and then try to mitigate the port into other port that works. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering No-IP Remote Access:

If you have any issue with the dynamic public ip address, then I recommend that you use No-IP to overcome it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is No-IP Remote Access solving and how is that benefiting you?

Since my ISP keep changing my public ip address everytime I restart my modem, so I try to overcome this issue by using the no ip. I regularly update my ip from the router to the no ip server. After that I tried to connect to my device from the other network. It works when I tried to access my desktop remotely from the other place. However, I found that sometimes the ip address is not updated immediately. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
