This has been the worst experience I've had with a provider. They initially offered a discount to get us to sign up, but it only lasted for one month, and after that, the invoice amount changed. Their representatives assured us that our service would be up and running in 5-20 business days, but that turned out to be false. We signed up to test their service and paid the invoice, but every time we checked in about the SMS process, we got the same vague responses. When we asked for a refund, they refused, saying our application was in the final phase and would be approved soon. We ended up paying for a second month, but still didn't receive any approval or response. Frustrated, we asked to cancel, and when they called us, the rep confirmed the cancellation and hung up immediately, leaving us unable to access our account even though we had paid for the whole month. Their support team is disappointing—they may respond quickly, but their tone is harsh, as if they don’t care about keeping clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As a small company coming from 20+ years of analog phones and fax, pulling ourselves into the modern day of tech felt so daunting and frankly, somewhat terrifying.
We had no idea what anything to do with internet phones was even called, but luckily a google search later we found Nextiva. They were the first we called with trying to get a quote for upgrading our whole system and I spent hours on the phone with Colton Krueger who explained the basics of VoIP and he carried me through the process of figuring out what our needs were. He is genuinly a great person and so very patient and kind. From there, we got many other quotes and while trying to decide what we wanted to do, Colton kept calling back and checking in. When we had finally narrowed it down to 2 companies. Nextiva was a bit more than what we wanted spend and were about to go with the other company still in the running. The day before we went through with it, Colton called me back again and I told him what we were going to do and why and and he knew they could do better. After some talking and locking in some details, he was able to cut the price in half as well as offer so many incentives, it would be crazy not to sign with them. They even gave us time to talk to the other comapny to see if they could counter and they didn't come anywhere close. So we signed and started the change over.
Nextiva helped us keep our phone numbers and once the new equipment arrived, assisted with the setup. I will be honest, I had almost no idea what I was doing at the time, but once I got stuck, I started using the live agent chat. In an hour I had 2 devices set up with 3 lines each and 3 soft phones over 5 users. I can say that the live chat has been the best customer service I have ever recieved in terms of ease of use and is so effective because the agents can tell you anything you need to know.
At this point, the phones which we use every day feel just like the old ones and we dont have to think about them which has been a huge help. We particularly like the desktop apps ability to transcribe voicemails and have those transcriptions show in the entire history with the customer. We can see how that data will be useful and are excited for when we set up the integration with the other software we use.
All in all, I am very happy with Nextiva and for a good price and fantastic customer service, why would you go anywhere else? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
With everything great with Nextiva, nothing is perfect. There is a few software features we would like that at this time, just are not there, but thanks to the help of the support staff, we have found work arounds that take care of our needs.
The only major issue we have is with the soft app on our Android devices. Alot of the time, when making or recieving a call, the volume of the call drops and neither party can hear the other well. Had for over 10 years, and referred them 3 other businesses. Then about a year ago we started having problems with our phone lines as did one of the other businesses we referred to them. After several calls to support they were unable to fix it and since it was affecting our business we decided to switch to another provider.
After 10+ years of service when we go to cancel they told us our contract auto-renewed for another 2 years and if we want to cancel we need to pay for the 2 remaining years in the contract. This is BS considering the only reason we switched away from them is they couldn't get their own phone system to work properly, and we never agreed to renew. As far as I know CA law requires them to notify us before a contract is automatically renewed and they never did that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The onboarding and training staff are top notch. Diego Salazer did on excellent job keeping us up to date with where we were in the process throughout. The phone service is good with tons of flexibility for desktop or mobile use and we gained texting to our business number in the process. The call recording feature is also good. The many options for use also come with many user interfaces. Nextiva Unity for phone call management, Nextiva One for desktop soft phone and cell phone app, Nextiva online application for system maintenence and another web based program for recorded call playback. It all works fine, it's just alot to learn. I also wish the recorded call feature displayed the customers caller id name and number instead of just their number. My favoirte part of Nextiva is client support. When I call I can get someone that I understand that is willing and able to help me in a short time. pjhone and Voip companies are notorious for having client services that put you on hlod for long periods of time or have no idea on how to help you. I have called nextiva multiple times and everytime, I get a person to help me quickly and takes ownership of the issues and brings it to a satisfactory resolution. I don't have many complaints about Nextiva. I was not excited about thier hardware selection. I chose to purchase my hardware elsewhere to get ther exact hardware I wanted. Client services let me know what to look for in compatibility if I am purchasing it elsewhere. Client services als assisted me get it up in running with no issues on their VOIP system. I work remote and I use the program all the time. I have never had any issues. The app is amazing. I can change my status and reach out to my team through the app. You have so much control over your setting it's so convenient and a very user friendly program. The only thing I dislike is that you can't clear your unread in compact mode but it's no biggie. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
