What do you like best about Middleware?

Middleware has proven to be a game-changer for our observability needs. What stands out the most is its comprehensive telemetry capabilities, which have significantly improved our operational efficiency and service delivery. The platform offers robust monitoring, particularly for JVM runtimes, which is crucial for our infrastructure. The transition from New Relic to Middleware was smooth, and their support team provided excellent guidance throughout the integration process. Middleware’s custom metrics feature is also a highlight, allowing us to connect business data with telemetry data seamlessly. This integration has provided valuable insights into customer interactions, transaction volumes, and error rates, facilitating faster root cause analysis and better decision-making. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Middleware?

While Middleware has many strengths, the initial setup, especially in integrating it with our ECS environment, posed some challenges. However, Middleware's support team was incredibly responsive and knowledgeable, helping us to quickly resolve these issues. Their assistance made the process much smoother and ensured that we were up and running in no time. Although there is a learning curve associated with maximizing Middleware's full potential, the extensive support and documentation provided by the Middleware team have made it much easier to navigate. Overall, any initial hurdles were swiftly addressed, allowing us to fully benefit from Middleware's exceptional capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Middleware?

Middleware is an observability platform that also offers infrastructure monitoring. We liked their dashboard feature the best. They offer a default dashboard will all the key metrics plugged in, and apart from that, they also allow you to create a custom dashboard as per your needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We are using Middleware to monitor our infrastructure. Using Middleware has been working out well for us because of two reasons. First, using Middleware, we were able to consolidate tools. What do you like best about Middleware?

Details of Logs in a timeline help me identify when an incident occurs, and looking into the error generated gives me the exact reason for the incident. They recently introduced AI-powered recommendations that pop up alongside the error, and I found it to be quite handy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Middleware?

So far, I have used their entire platform extensively. The functionality and user experience of the tool is good. However, there are some minor complexities in navigating internally through the tool. For instance, if you have to filter your logs for a particular machine, you can do that, but you cannot save those custom filters, which I felt a bit frustrating Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Middleware solving and how is that benefiting you?

What do you like best about Middleware?

Their Infrastructure monitoring feature, as well as the APM feature. They have multiple features, but I used these two features extensively over others, so based on that, I can say these two features are the best.

Their pricing is also relatively less than Datadog. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Middleware?

I was trying to monitor my AWS services, but they have limited options for monitoring the AWS environment. Their support team claimed it’s in the pipeline, but for now, this was something that I slightly disliked about Middleware. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Middleware solving and how is that benefiting you?

Middleware is trying to simplify the complex observability ecosystem by bringing in Logs, Traces and Metrics in one place. In today’s cash-crunch economy, where pricing is a major concern, we gave Middleware a try first for test projects and then on the production environment. We were happy with the insights we got about the performance of our Infrastructure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
