"A Reliable Collaboration Tool with One Small Concern"
4/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Teams?

I have been using Microsoft collaboration tools including Teams for almost 20 years, and overall, it has been a very reliable and effective collaboration platform. I use it daily for team communication, meetings, and file sharing, and it has become an essential part of my work routine.

For grapevine discussions as well, this tool is best. I find it a great tool for both daily discussions and long-term projects.

Teams is quite straightforward. Since it integrates seamlessly with the Microsoft ecosystem, rolling it out and getting started was smooth. And it really helps in keeping everything connected and organized.

That being said, Teams remains one of the best collaboration tools i have worked with, and I genuinely appreciate how much it has improved teamwork and productivity over the years. I never had to contact Customer support as this software worked for me without any issue Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Teams?

I noticed that attachments open directly in the chat window. Personally, I find this a bit inconvenient because I have to close the document and then go back to the chat window every time. A separate window option or tabs for opened document would make it much smoother. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Hard to Navigate, Overpriced, and Plagued by Audio/Video Issues"
1/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Teams?

Not much, I do not like Microsoft's minimalist Windows style. It's impossible to tell whether it's a box or just a container. Its a problem across their Office suite but Teams is particularly bad. Its hard to navigate the side panel as well or find files. It sucks that there are still industries that it is the "gold standard". Its too expensive as well Microsoft has more money than God. Copilot sucks as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Teams?

Everything, Zoom, and Discord are examples of much better products. Skype also sucks litterally spend all my time online in and out of work in Zoom or Discord. I have had many technical issues with Audio and video as well in Teams because the grid suffers from the same UX issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"All in one place, but with room to improve"
4/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Teams?

As an Outlier contributor working with distributed teams and collaborative projects, what I like most about Microsoft Teams is its ability to bring communication, meetings, file sharing, and project coordination into a single platform. The interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, helping teams stay organized through channels and focused conversations. Its integration with Microsoft 365 applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint makes collaboration more efficient by allowing users to access and edit documents without constantly switching between tools.

Microsoft Teams also delivers strong performance through reliable messaging, video conferencing, and real-time collaboration features that support productive teamwork. From a business perspective, it offers good value by reducing the need for multiple separate applications, which improves ROI and operational efficiency. The onboarding process is straightforward, and the available support resources help new users adapt quickly. In addition, AI-powered features such as meeting transcription, summaries, and Copilot assistance help streamline workflows, save time, and improve overall productivity. What do you dislike about Microsoft Teams?

One thing I dislike about Microsoft Teams is that it can sometimes feel overly complex, especially for new users. With so many features, channels, notifications, and settings available, it may take time to learn how to navigate the platform efficiently. The interface can occasionally feel cluttered, making it harder to quickly find specific conversations, files, or tools.

Performance can also be inconsistent at times, particularly during large meetings or when multiple applications are running simultaneously. While the platform offers strong collaboration capabilities and integrations, managing notifications and keeping track of conversations across multiple teams can become overwhelming in highly active work environments. Additionally, some advanced features are only available through higher-tier plans, which may limit accessibility for smaller organizations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless Microsoft 365 Integration — Unified Communication and Team Productivity"
5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Teams?

What I like best about Microsoft Teams is how it brings communication, collaboration, and productivity tools together in one place. The seamless integration with Microsoft 365 apps such as Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Office documents makes it easy to chat, meet, share files, and collaborate without switching between multiple tools. This helps teams stay connected and work more efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Teams?

While Microsoft Teams is a powerful collaboration platform, I find that notification management and information discoverability could be improved. In large organizations, chat threads, channels, and meeting conversations can become overwhelming, making it difficult to quickly locate important content and maintain focus. "A Powerful Tool for Communication, Meetings, and Audits"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Teams?

What I like most about Microsoft Teams is that it keeps all team communication in one place. At work, it helps me quickly connect with colleagues, share files, schedule meetings, and collaborate on projects without switching between multiple applications. The integration with Outlook and SharePoint saves time and improves efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Teams?

One downside of Microsoft Teams is that it can occasionally experience performance issues, particularly during large meetings or when handling many chats and channels. The search feature and notification management could be improved to make information easier to find and reduce distractions. I also find that some of the most useful features, such as AI-powered meeting summaries, Copilot capabilities, and advanced recording options, require additional paid licenses, making the overall cost higher for organizations that want access to these premium tools. "All-in-One Collaboration with Smooth Microsoft 365 Integration"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Teams?

I like best about Microsoft Teams is its all-in-one collaboration experience. It combines chat, meetings, calls, and file sharing in a single platform, which reduces the need to switch between multiple tools. The real-time collaboration on Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files is very smooth and helps teams work together efficiently.

I also find the meeting features (like screen sharing, recording, and scheduling via Outlook integration) very reliable for daily communication. Integration with other Microsoft 365 apps is a big advantage in enterprise environments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Teams?

One common issue is performance—it can be slow to load or consume a lot of system resources compared to lighter chat tools. Another challenge is the user interface clutter, where too many channels, teams, and notifications can become overwhelming and reduce productivity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Microsoft Teams: Powering Collaboration"
5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Teams?

My current organization uses Microsoft Teams because of its features for chatting, calls, and meetings. It also helps me collaborate with the intended recipients in real time. It allows me to share my screen and make sessions more interactive for employees within the organization. Overall, Teams feels secure and compliant. Also teams integration with AI intelligence helps to some extent if someone can properly use that Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Teams?

The platform can sometimes feel a bit cluttered because there are so many features and channels, which can make it confusing to navigate. It may also run slowly at times, especially when working with large teams or handling big files. Notifications can quickly become overwhelming, as messages, mentions, and channel updates keep coming in from different places. Searching for old messages or files is not always easy, which can be frustrating when you need something quickly. During meetings, users may occasionally experience issues like lag, audio or video glitches, or a confusing interface. On top of that, managing files can be tricky since they are often linked to SharePoint or OneDrive, which may not always feel simple or intuitive to use.

While the platform offers a wide range of features, the overall pricing is high, particularly when advanced capabilities require premium licensing. Measuring return on investment (ROI) can also be difficult if teams are not fully utilizing all available features, leading to underused capabilities.

Onboarding new users is time consuming due to the platform’s complexity. Without proper training and guidance, users struggle to adopt best practices.

AI features are not properly utilized, difficult to trust, and sometimes not fully aligned with their workflow needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
