Microsoft Sway Pros and Cons

What I like most about sway is the interaction and expression features it has for work environments, through microsoft sway you can very professional presentations, to which you can add multiple elements, such as images, documents, videos, which helps to make the working groups more interactive, likewise it is linked to the Office 365 ecosystem, so all the resources housed in it can be used to more easily limit the presentations, for example with elements housed in Onedrive for bussines, another quality that I think is quite good is the possibility of sharing the environments not only with the employees of the company but also with the clients, which has supported some areas of the company that have direct contact with the client to improve the presentation of ideas and projects. Initially, although it is certainly an excellent tool, it was not entirely friendly for many users to understand its operation, as well as some problems were generated, since the time to close the session after a period of inactivity was very short, in general lines , those are the only inconveniences that have arisen since we started using it Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Very basic unfortunately, even though it looks nice your very very limited to what you can actually do. It's ashame because Sway has a lot of potential Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The software is super simple to use to create presentations or newsletters especially if you've used Microsoft Power Point before, all the features you're used to are here but what makes Microsoft Sway unique is that it's a specialized tool . If you have Microsoft Office 365 you get access to a massive library of templates to make creating the perfect newsletter a lot simpler. Microsoft Sway is free to use. For those without Microsoft Office 365 the template library is a bit scarce and the service doesn't have a mobile app (for Android at least), this might be a deal breaker for some. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

- - Simple, intuitive, modern interface, especially easy if you've use MS Power Point already

- - Feature rich, you can create everything from Newsletters to Presentations even entire websites

- - I think the best way to put it would be; "What MS Publisher is to MS Word, MS Sway is to MS Power Point"

- - Great on it's own but even better with Office 365 which includes a larger library of templates and content

- - The lackluster template library for those who don't have Office 365

- - Where is the mobile app? Seriously Microsoft?! It's 2019, Sway has been around for years now, where is the mobile app?!!

- - To be fair, you can accomplish everything that Sway does with other apps in the Office Suite of applications but having a specialized tool can save time and effort Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Very easy to use and basic compared to PowerPoint. Doesn't replace PowerPoint in my option as its limited on features but I do like how easy it is and works well with any device. Supports them all as its Web based Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As I mentioned it's got basic features sadly so it's limited on how much you can do unfortunately Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

In my opinion it's the best product within O365. Presentations look professional with the embedded videos and flip cards. I love the way you can share the url with anyone who can view the Sway document. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Shame there isn't a Sway app for mobile devices as it's difficult to design a Sway on a smaller screen Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sway is half the effort of creating an animated PowerPoint presentation. It makes the presentation flow near enough automatically, and manages to make it look like you've put twice the effort in instead. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

You can take media from the internet include with the local files and have the feel of how your websites needs to be looked. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Many people have resistance to it's usage as it is too flexible to risk their data, but trust me it is not the way it works it is for your trail and error recursive work to get the desired output. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
