Microsoft PowerPoint is the go-to tool for creating presentations on both Windows, Mac, and web platforms. It was the industry leader for many years and still has a lot of nice features. It is simpler to use than other tools and in the hands of a professional can produce outstanding results. Features such as templating, one-drive sharing, and permissions make it stand out from the competition. In the newer versions, you get a built-in translator and other language tools, presentation recording, and in-presentation drawing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I always feel that PowerPoint is kind of boring, with everyone knowing how to use it and the default tools are always basic and not exciting. My least favorite thing is the inability to split long tables across multiple slides which is a very much needed feature. Also, embedding data from Excel is shaky at best and the outcome is not visually appealing. Again, you can make great presentations, but you have to invest heavily in learning the tool.
