Azure is an entire cloud-computing universe! A comprehensive & intuitive set of virtual tools for Cloud & Hybrid computing with endless options to configure IaaS, PaaS & SaaS solutions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
A bit overwhelming at first, and there is still a considerable need for command-line development & administration via Windows Powershell or Azure CLI, particularly in larger organizations with many users, VM's, & apps, but this is offset w/ARM Templates readily available to automate some of the administration. Microsoft Azure provides efficient tools and services for data analytics and business intelligence. The platform is easy to navigate and well-categorized into service Apps and services like databases, analytics, computing, security, and many more. The setup and provisioning steps for each service are clear and consistent across the platform and there are plenty of learning resources for almost every service Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Microsoft Azure stands out for its comprehensive suite of cloud services that support a wide range of business needs, from simple app hosting to advanced AI and machine learning solutions. Its global reach with an extensive network of data centers ensures high availability, low latency, and regulatory compliance across regions. Azure’s integration with Microsoft products like Office 365, Active Directory, and Dynamics makes it incredibly easy for enterprises to transition to the cloud. I particularly appreciate its security-first approach, with built-in threat protection and compliance certifications, which gives great peace of mind. Additionally, Azure's flexibility in hybrid cloud setups and its strong developer ecosystem make it a top choice for modern digital transformation initiatives. While Microsoft Azure offers powerful capabilities, the platform can be complex and overwhelming for new users, with a steep learning curve compared to some competitors. Pricing structures can also be confusing and sometimes unpredictable, especially when scaling services across multiple regions or using specialized offerings like AI and advanced analytics. In addition, support response times can occasionally be slower than expected for non-premium customers, which can be frustrating when dealing with critical issues. Finally, some services feel less polished compared to competitors like AWS, particularly in areas such as documentation clarity and portal performance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The best thing about the Azure Virtual Machines is there's no need to purchase and manage the physical infrastructure and it can support various operating systems like Linux (ubuntu), Windows, macOS etc. It supports multiple versions of OS as well helping us to choose the most appropriate. The drawback of Azure Virtual Machines is that it requires to be managed by some professionals, like server monitoring and patching. It may also increase the overall cost and budget, so requires skilled cloud professionals to use it efficiently and optimise the cost for the organisation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Azure web apps provides my team a secure and fully managed service that enables us to deploy business intelligence applications with minimal environment setup. The service supports various programming languages, especially Python, and integrates seamlessly with our on-premises SQL Server system, even for data-intensive workflows. The limited workflow customization and infrastructure control sometimes require additional effort for workarounds. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

- Azure has vast varitiy of serivces, be it PAAS, SAAS, or IAAS, so depending on your solution needs you can choose your prefered option.
- Integration with 3rd party tools is easier to implement and secure with OAuth 2.0 approach (based on Azure service principal)
- Do you want to host a simple static website -> just use Storage account, or VM, or App service, choice is yours!
- Facing any issues with any of the implemented solution? Just get in touch with Microsoft support (you need to have the basic support plan) and they will help you to sort out the issue in the best way possible.
- The Azure portal interface is simple and easy to use, resource are grouped using resource groups, so segration of Environments can be done on Subscription and resource group level.
- Analysing the cost is easier at scope of resource group or subscription level.
- There are multiple ways by which you can monitor your application and setup alerts as per your solution's requirement.
- Permission management & assignment is easier with Role based access control.
- Being a frequent user of Azure for more than 5 years, I would highly recommand the use of Azure for your next solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- For most of the services they provide good SLA, however if there are any issues, eg. Network timeout for consumption based logic apps, Azure Data factory, then even if we contact the support, there is a high chance that the support team may not be able to provide you detailed log info, and you have to implement a retry or some sort of workaround.
- Sometimes due to temporary outage of services, alert firing might be missed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's hard to pick a tool within the platform that I like the most, as it's very comprehensive. However, I really like the integration with Microsoft Entra ID, where you can assign roles to users and also set access rules to resources within Microsoft Azure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Azure platform is really quite complete. So far, I haven't found anything I don't like, because it has worked very well in the company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As such there is nothingh which I didn't like about Azure. Overall it's a great solution but some like Application Gateway and Azure congnitive of the services that I feel costly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- Azure function has good support for various languages and is supported on linux and windows platform (while creating the function app).
- It can be integrated easily with Azure Entra ID Single sing on, rbac permissions, OAuth authentication flow etc.
- various plans are available to suit your needs (Consumption, dedicated etc.) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- Identifying issues for a function failure with consumption based plan is a nightmare, mostly it's service unavailable issue (which is to be expacted), so you will have to figure out some workarounds / retries for these service unavailable based failures. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
