It's fun and interactive. It gives EVERYONE a level playing field (whether they're in the room/in-person or whether they're virtual). I started using Menti during pandemic years because of lots of these hybrid situations and have kept using it ever since, for both virtual and in-person team gatherings.

The layout of the slides when editing - I can't seem to set up different layouts (e.g. grid, list etc.)

When it's updated, buttons/clicks usually change position and this is a bit frustrating when you've finally worked out the magic '3 clicks' you need to do to, say, download slides as PDF...and then it's all gone topsy turvey (equivalent to a supermarket changing all the position of its products on shelves. lol!) The tool is very easy to use and helped me to create an engaging interaction with a young audience. The interaction was part of an internal training program in my firm and the AI beta feature helped me to figure out what would be the best configuration for each specific subject I was presenting. I really enjoy Mentimeter because it fosters an interactive and engaging environment during presentations. The upsides are that in addition to uploading PowerPoint and PDF files with the course information, other slides with videos and interactive ways of connecting with students (word cloud, multiple choice, ranking, etc) help to create a great synergy during the classroom learning experience. The downside is that when you want to copy slides from other presentations, it only allows you to do that one slide at a time. It would be great if, say, three slides could be selected and copied to another presentation. Also, for the word clouds, it would be great if the maximum words could be increased. Thank you. It is a very easy simplistic user-friendly tool that has many different templates that caters towards any need or presentation. It's bright and colourful and can be lots of fun. I like it because I can aim it at a younger audience or I can gear my presentations towards my executive team. It also has surprisingly good features and additions in the free unpaid version. The biggest downside to the program is the lack of instructions needed to build particular types of presentations. Some of them are very easy and intuitive, but some of the more complex ones can be more difficult to create by yourself and I found instructions for these lacking on the site. The most useful feature of Mentimeter is the interactive, easy and clear approach to different survey templates or interaxtive presentations.

Up to a reasonable point it offers many free features and an instant feedback of survey results.

It's easy to use from any type of presenting platform as well as embedding it.

Also there is an AI tool which suggests helpful ideas on different sets of slides which can easily be adapted according to the topic and the referring audience.

Sometimes it doesn't create a full QR Code for new presentations but only attaches one slide.
