The web user interface is very intuitive and easy to use. The live show feature displaying the presentation and the phone view is also very well done and provides an amazing user experience! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I could not find an easy way to change the background designs in the template presentations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It helps create dynamic classes where students participate and engage with their learning. It helps identify in real time if students have questions about any content or if there is a topic they don’t fully understand. It’s a very fun and easy-to-use platform for teaching. When you reset the results of a Menti you want to use again and configure it so that the results are not visible to users/players, it doesn’t work properly. The players' answers are hidden, but the correct and incorrect answers are still shown. You have to manually hide the correct answers on each slide to be able to reuse it correctly. Mentimeter is simple to use and works smoothly in live, online settings. I used it to run a quick “This or That” poll during my opening remarks in a webinar, and it immediately got participants engaged. The real-time results make it easy to comment and interact with the audience. It's also user-friendly—even for those who aren’t very tech-savvy—and the visual layout looks clean and professional. The free version is a bit limited—you can only use a few slides or question types per presentation. It would be great to have a bit more flexibility without upgrading. Also, for first-time users, the interface might need a few minutes of exploration to get comfortable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Mentimeter is a platform that literally has it all. Using mentimeter allows for my teaching to be diverse and engaging. Students are brought to a new level of technoogical learning that enables them to share their ideas in ways never thought before and, of course, in a way that is highly innovative and interactive. Mentimeter demonstrates the power of learning through technology and how the connection between the two serves a greater purpose: integration. The way that menitmeter opens the avenues of co-constructive learning is next to none; with the ever-so-interactive approach and tactics applied within its walls, mentimeter provides its users with endless opportunities to share knowledge across all platforms and the versatility of its components make for the perfect learning toolkit. This particular teaching and learning instrument contains a large variety of functions/settings which allow its users to utilize this on different occasions and as often as they prefer: its settings are also user-friendly which is an added bonus when it comes to 'navigation' potential challenges. The support received while being an active user of this tool is a state-of-the-art one: you will always have the guidance and responses you need to implement the best version of your teaching. Mentimeter 's integration into the lesson is one that takes place in the most innovative and seamless as possible: studetns always comment on its creative aspect and its ability to engage everyone in topics that they perhaps would otherwise not take part in. It is a tool that carries out respect, equality and principles of integration through its plethora of applications which are geared towards (quite literally) everyone's interests and current topics. I wish I would have discovered this tool sooner in my career! But it is here now, so I am grateful and hopeful! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like how Mentimeter transoms my ESL classes to more engaging and interactive learning environment through its different features. It is very easy to use in the classroom for both teachers and students. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
1. Students can not edit their answers once they are posted. This editing feature is important for ESL writing classes.
2. Students are allowed one post per question (Word Cloud). This feature is important for ESL writing classes especially in in the brainstorming stage.
3. The limited number of participants per month. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The program's pre-designed templates streamline the data entry process and provide ideas for engaging the audience, e.g., for icebreakers. Other notable benefits include a user-friendly interface, the capacity to create presentations in a timely manner, a concise overview of the outcomes, the option to import alternative presentation formats, and even the complimentary use of animated GIFs. The software’s ready-made templates simplify the input process and offer suggestions for engaging the audience, including icebreakers. Its greatest advantage lies in its user-friendly interface, which facilitates quick presentation creation and succinct results summaries. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Its flexible and rather easy to use. Especially the voting features etc. I can be used in many different settings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
However I woiuld like to have mer possibilities to format the text in the slide especially in for exemple the 2x2 grid i.e. format the items and also the position on the slide.
In short - better formatting functions
The second imporvement is how to extract data - the data oupurt is some what cumbersome to analyse in different program. I would lika to be able to have possiblities to adjust how th output should look like.
I would also like to have a live preview - that I can do adjustment and se the resluts live.
I would like to have it incorporated in a powerpoint presentation. Te solutions today is not good enough - i you import the powerpoint presentation you are lacking the animation done in powerpoinit and the use of the webbased poweerpoint lack some features in poerpoint and not always accessible depend of your companies license. I use Mentimeter to create knowledge check quizzes that are timed and competitive in my nursing class. It only takes me about an hour to create a ten-question quiz with multiple choice and brief written answer questions, and the platform adds fun for students who tell me they like the graphics. The results provided after the quiz allow me to see which areas students are having the most trouble with. It's very win-win. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There's no real downside, but I do wish there were more than two methods for writing these types of quizzes, for instance, pick three statements that are correct from these four (you can't toggle more than one right answer in the current version). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is very easy to set up and has lots of options to make a very interactive presentation and engage my audience in ways that they retain what I was talking about. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Can't think of anything I didn't like, maybe the limitations of the free version, but that's part of life. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Even as a first time user of the tool, it was very clear what I needed to do to set up my first poll. This went down really well during our webinar and helped us gain some insight into who we had on the call. It was visually appealing, and as we got the majority of delegates participating, I can assume that they found it easy to use too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I struggled with the integration with PowerPoint, as I wanted the poll to appear within my slides. That might be because of how our systems are set up, and probably not a Mentimeter problem.
I set up a survey that asked to feedback on the session, and I wanted to include a tickbox to confirm whether or not the comments from the respondent could be used for promotion of future events, but couldn't find a way of doing this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I teach online remote classes, and some students don't speak up in the discussions. The reasons vary from a fear of being incorrect in front of classmates to a lack of confidence in English.
Mentimeter is a bridge that students are willing to cross without fear. The anonymity makes it easier for them to contribute. The variety of options, ranging from Wordcloud to open-ended questions, increases my options to engage students. The ready-to-use templates are a valuable addition.
Interactive and editing options also come in handy to add more flavours to the mix. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There isn't anything to dislike, but there is always a scope for improvement, and that is what I would like to share.
Presenting to MS Teams option is helpful, but it would be great if other remote classroom tools, such as Zoom, etc. could be included. In the future, having a direct link and sync option with the LMS, such as D2L Brightspace, will also be extremely helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
