McAfee has completely changed from being one of the heaviest Antivirus solutions in the past to being the lightest, as shown in the latest AV-Comparatives tests! It achieves this by scanning files upon access rather than scanning all the files over and over again like traditional AVs, yet it still achieves a 99.8% protection score in the latest AV-Comparatives Real-World Protection test! I felt like I had upgraded my computer ever since installing it.

In addition, unlike other security solutions now which have become a full suite that contains things you may not care for such as a Software updater, junk files cleaner, system optimizer, etc. It is a plain and simple antivirus with no bloatware. I like that somehow it helped me to feel very secure, the antivirus always showed a windows when it detected a virus or malware when I tried to connect an infected USB or if I was downloading an infected file, it was always letting me know that I was protected, also it has many complementary functions that were useful. I use the one device plan, it blocks viruses & also blocks videos & other high data consuming content on websites. Its functionality is smooth. It's very fast and does not show any performance-related issues. It blocks harmful websites & gives threat pop-ups. The antivirus scans are quite useful. The main drawback of the basic plan is that it does not have a secure VPN. So one has to purchase an additional VPN. It does not offer a discounted price when we renew the software. Also, it keeps popping out messages about renewal every time we work or use the pc it's quite annoying. Webcam protection is also not a part of the subscription. Its a well known name in the world of security and protection however after some recent attacks, we decided to switch to Morphisec tool. No particular reason but we found Morphisec better Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I feel, there should be a feature where we can disable the antivirus temporarily(for let's say 15 min, or till I reboot). When I right-click on my McAfee in the taskbar, I expect this option to appear but this is not the case :( Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
