I have been using Malwarebytes since it had the red logo. It has always been easy to use and great as a second opinion scanner to an antivirus. It also has real-time protection if you decide to pay for a license that works well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When using real-time protection, I have found it quite heavy on lower-end systems, forcing me to use a different solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Thorough checks involving pretty much every element underpinning the system. Checks are quite quick and comprehensive. The log feature is useful, handy for tracking previous malware problems. This is something I run every month if not most weeks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Rootkit checks have to be enabled manually, but once done that's fine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I have not found anything about Malwarebytes that I do not like. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's been pretty good at checking for malware, but it likes to flag non-malware and quarantine it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The minor issue is that it tends to flag too much non-malware as malware. I'm an independent software developer, and it often flags programs that I've written as malware, when they most definitely are not.
The major issue is that when it decides a reboot is necessary, it flashes up a notification and immediately reboots. This means that I've lost a lot of work since I'm not given a chance to save what I'm working on. Even worse, I use VirtualBox to do the development, so when MalwareBytes removes, it occasionally trashes the VM that I was using. This has cost me nearly a week of lost time in the past when I not only had to restore the VM and recreate the lost source code.
I've complained to their support about this, but was never answered. I'm definitely not going to renew unless they fix this issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
