I like that I can create multiple templates for different emails. I like that I can segment down to one person, if needed. It's really easy to creat the template and then use it, send it to just a segment or my entire list. I use Mailchimp for all my communication needs in my ecommerce business. I send typically 3-5 emails per week to my subscribers.
The customer support is above average, not hard to reach, but sometimes I get mixed assistant - but that's typical. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It doesn't seem to natively work well with my Wix platform and I'm not fond of the popups. That could be improved. I would also like the ability to send browse abandonment emails. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I've been using Mailchimp for the past 7 years to manage and distribute my newsletters. When I first started, my open rates were at 9.3% and click rates at 0.2%. Over the years, with consistent effort and the robust tools Mailchimp offers, I've managed to significantly improve these metrics to an average of 45% open rates and 0.8% click rates.
Mailchimp's user-friendly interface and comprehensive analytics have been instrumental in helping me understand my audience better and tailor my content to their preferences. The automation features have saved me countless hours, allowing me to focus more on creating valuable content rather than managing the logistics of email distribution.
Despite these improvements, I have yet to see a direct increase in revenue from my email campaigns. This is an area I am keen to improve, and I am optimistic that with continued use of Mailchimp's advanced features and perhaps some strategic adjustments, I can turn this around.
Overall, Mailchimp has been a reliable and effective tool for growing my email engagement, and I look forward to leveraging it further to achieve my business goals. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I can't say there is anything that I actually dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Mailchimp has made a significant leap forward with its updated visual builder, allowing us to create branded, effective EDMs (electronic direct mail) faster than ever before. The drag-and-drop interface is intuitive and responsive, cutting down on production time while giving us full control over layout and design. What used to take hours can now be completed in a fraction of the time – without sacrificing quality.
The analytics dashboard is another standout feature. It gives us clear, actionable insights into open rates, click-throughs, and campaign performance. This makes it much easier to refine our strategy and get the best possible results from every send.
Email delivery is consistently strong, with excellent inbox placement and deliverability rates. This reliability ensures that our messages are actually reaching our audience – a non-negotiable for any serious e-commerce operation.
One of Mailchimp’s biggest strengths is its ability to handle complex integrations with our e-commerce platform. Setting up automated flows like abandoned cart emails, personalised product recommendations, and re-order reminders has been seamless. These automated journeys are not only easy to build – they also work as intended, and that’s a major plus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One thing worth mentioning is that Mailchimp has definitely become more expensive in recent times. The pricing has crept up, and it’s noticeable—especially if you’re managing a growing list. Even contacts who’ve unsubscribed or haven’t opted in still count toward your total, which can push you into a higher billing tier faster than expected.
For us, the features and automation still make it worthwhile, but the cost is something we’ve had to factor into our planning. It’s not quite as affordable as it once was, so it's important to keep an eye on usage and contact management to avoid unnecessary charges. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Very easy to integrate with my Woocommerce platform, which is a webshop specialized in boardgames, paints and books. I run multiple integrations such ass following up on abandoned shopping carts. My customer's data also populates the mailing list which I use to inform them about upcoming releases, promotions and general newsletters.
The Mailchimp platform is easy to use once properly set up. Linking it to my webshop also provides pictures, prices and links to my products, which is a tremendous help in creating valuable newsletters. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Unfortunately, at the end of the day, the typical consumer behavior is changing. They no longer open all the newsletters, rarely click on the links and as such, the impact/conversion is decreasing. This is a general trend, not directly linked to Mailchimp but is a factor to take into account when setting up marketing strategies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I used Mailchimp while employed at a previous company, we used it for email marketing to customers of an e-commerce platform. There is where I learned everything I know about how to design, setup, and manage campaigns and marketing. I now work for a smaller company that isn't e-commerce, BUT when the owners started talking about a way to easily get in front of all of our clients, I immediately recommended Mailchimp. I have familiarity with it and it works just as smoothly and easily for this company as well, even though we are using it in different ways. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is a limit on the amount of customers you can have. We are a growing small business and will likely hit that soon, although we only send a couple emails a year. Understand why, but wish it was a higher threshold! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think that the All-in-One Marketing Platform includes more tools than we even knew when we first signed on. It's intuitive, the interface is user-friendly, and when I get stumped, the library of resources is readily available. I've also had good experiences working directly with experts in the chat feature. Most importantly, all of the recommendations and tools at our fingertips are curated to help us reach as many of our users as possible. The analytics are aimed to help zero in on purchasing behaviors and the messaging that resonate with our people the most. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While Mailchimp is a great all-in-one tool, there are several limitations we've found, particularly when creating automated customer journeys. As we are a small non-profit, trying to take time to learn how to bootstrap together an email funnel was a bit frustrating, but it is at least functional! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love that Mailchimp has cut my learning curve short and made it super easy to get started! The custom built journeys have made my customers path to purchase much more smooth, effective and converting. I love that every step of the customer lifecycle can be managed through the premade templates. Don't even get me started about the super simple integrations! Beautiful! All I have to do is put in my content and Voila! I appreciate that if I ever get stuck - help is just a click away. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only thing I find a little frustrating is the Instagram integration does not work for the content block. Other than that, it's good to go! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
From basic email campaigns to advanced automations, Mailchimp makes it easy to create them all. The drag and drop feature is so easy to use that anyone can use it, and you don’t even need design skills to create professional-looking designs. In addition, it provides us with a wide range of resources that enhance our ability to address internal issues and optimize the formulation of sales plans, allowing us to dynamically influence and captivate the industry through the use of AI. My favorite part of target audiences is the ability to send highly personalized emails based on interests or actions. It has really managed to improve all our results. As your contact list expands, prices can also rise rapidly. Consider the type of business and your needs when making a decision; what used to be a free plan becomes a significant fixed investment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's consistently updated to stay compatible with major website platforms like Shopify, continually enhancing user experience with cutting-edge features and intuitive tools. It not only keeps pace with the latest trends but also anticipates needs business owners may not even realize they have, making tools easier and more efficient to use Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Since we aim to deliver more design-focused emails, it can be challenging to add customizations like overlaying text on photos or uploading specific fonts to use within an account. As the graphic designer, I wish there were more advanced tools for deeper customization. However, for someone who doesn't need that level of detail, the current setup is user-friendly and efficient. It could be great to offer two modes: one with advanced design capabilities for professionals and another streamlined, user-friendly option like what's available now. As a nonprofit, clear and timely communication with our community is everything. Whether it’s an upcoming workshop, a wellness event, or an important update from our clinic, we need to reach the right people at the right time. That’s where Mailchimp comes in.
With Mailchimp, I can see engagement in real-time, who’s opening emails, clicking links, or even ignoring messages. That kind of insight means I can tweak a campaign on the fly if it’s not landing the way I expected. And the results? We’ve seen a noticeable increase in participation since we started using Mailchimp. More people are showing up, staying informed, and engaging with our services.
Honestly, I can’t imagine not using it now. It’s become an essential tool for keeping our community connected and informed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Mailchimp is an excellent tool for getting our messages out, but sometimes it feels like it’s designed more for businesses than nonprofits. So many features focus on e-commerce and selling products, which isn’t what we do. I wish the nonprofit-specific tools (if they even exist) were more obvious and accessible.
It would be great if Mailchimp recognized how nonprofits use email differently, focusing on engagement, community-building, and outreach rather than sales. Right now, I feel like I have to navigate through a lot of business-driven features just to find what works for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Initiating an e-newsletter and developing a template that felt true to my brand was intimidating and something that I put off for a long time. Once I jumped in, though, I found the platform to be fairly intuitive and I was really pleased with the work that I was able to create from the get-go. I was happy to have easy integration with Shopify and opportunities to seek customer support, especially in the beginning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It feels like the platform is geared more towards medium-sized businesses and I feel a little lost in the weeds looking at options and opportunities to market to my little cohort of customer/readers. It is difficult to understand how to tailor Mail Chimp to my needs, or rather what next-steps might be for me now that I have the basics in place (newsletter, pop ups, etc.) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
