User groups can have their permission levels set so that they are allowed to access/edit certain parts of the website and not be able to do so for other parts of the website. I also like the various core modules the Drupal website offers. You have the option of combining different modules thereby improving functionality. It can be a little hard to get used to working with Drupal. I worked with Wordpress in the past and I still found myself taking a beginner's route with Drupal. There is a lot of learning and research to be done right from the installation and configuration phase to the website development phase.
