Top Rated Lyssna Alternatives

I was used to another competing platform and was very surprised at how quickly I was able to figure out how to start using Lyssna without missing the other platform. In addition, I especially liked the ability to schedule interviews and be able to synchronize it with my calendar, I found it very useful. In addition, it alerts both the interview participant and the researcher so that they do not forget the session.
Also great are all the templates and the process by which it guides you to get the most out of all of them.
I feel supported by the Lyssna team, they are always offering help and calls if I need to set something up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
So far I have not seen anything to hold me back in my studies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I've been doing CRO for over 15 years and have relied on Lyssna (formerly UsabilityHub) to back up my recommendations and get client buy-in on test ideas. I find it more powerful to SHOW them that 75% of users don't know what their value prop is, for example, rather than merely telling that to them, myself. I also use it to uncover problems that I didn't initially think of.
I appreciate that the feedback is super quick and affordable. And I like the variery of tests/polls I can run.
In recent years, they added more filters, which I like, such as hobbies, technology use, financial products, etc to better target the right respondents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I sometimes feel like the repondents don't match the criteria I requested. It makes me wonder what type of screening or verification there is to ensure that users truly fit the demographics they claim to. Also, there are times that I get snarky responses, which aren't worth paying for. So I'd like Lyssna to invest in improving -- and checking in on -- the quality of their panel, which I use exclusively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love the flexibility it gives me to create any type of usability test I want. One restriction when doing unmoderated tests is always how confining it is to just show the prototype then ask proceeding questions. Lyssna allows you to combine prototype tests, preference tests, survey questions and more all in one. Saves soooo much of me and my team's time and budget. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not so much a dislike, more of an opportunity for an even more helpful feature. I would love some sort of AI analysis tool to help me sort through my results. Especially when asking a lot of qualitative questions it can be hard to sort through the data in the end without reading through every single answer - if there was a way to summarise/analyse the results that would be even better. I like how easy it is to set up a test and the variety of options available. You can run a simple preference test, first-click test, 5-second test, and more. You don’t need a large number of testers to get valuable feedback. I also appreciate the well-thought-out responses from participants. I also have gotten quick support when I have had questions. The thing I dislike most is the name. from the name it's hard to tell what the site does. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Our UX design team has tried out a number of platforms for remote usability testing and after an extensive decisioning period we settled on Lyssna last year, and have absolutely zero regrets in our decisions. It is has super charged our UX team. It is easy to use and has a wider set of features than most of the competitors, and makes remote Figma prototype testing SO easy. Lyssna's pool of testers are excellent, speedy, and provide very valuable clear feedback. One thing I particularly love is that the (rare) times when we have received an unhelpful or incomplete tester response, we have been able to very easily request a new tester and get our full results instantly. My experience of other platforms is that often you get much weaker results, with testers who are incentivized to rush through tests regardless of the quality of the insights. On Lyssna however, the testers seem engaged, tailored to our needs, incentivized to give valuable honest feedback. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Just a wishlist item: I wish there was a way to have contextual questions appear on certain steps through the Figma prototype flow without having to wait until the end of the flow, or interrupting the user's process. But otherwise no complaints! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

- I like that i can set it up myself without getting a sales on the call
- the new recording function was great!
- can link up to my figma prototype Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- recording is only available in goal-oriented task, and not free-flow
- I think you have to enable recording for EVERY TASK, which i think i forgot to do so a couple of my tasks didnt have recording : (
- the reporting is a bit clunky to use, but gets the job done and has what you need Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Lyssna has great variety in what types of activities you can organize. It's easy to set something up and the preview works great. It's clean and without clutter, allowing you to focus on what you're doing. The price is affordable. Setting up a variation set was easy as well and was very helpful. I've also had amazing assistance by customer support, very fast response time and they were helpful and friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are a few minor complaints I have with Lyssna. The first is that the participants can't go back if they're completing a test. Second, and this ended up being a more major issue for me: when adding an image to instructions, it remains small and there's wasted space around the edges of it and the expand option does not do anything. As a workaround, I used a design survey for my instructions and image as the image size is much larger. However, this caused the estimated time to go over the limit for my subscription tier... I had to remove some questions and combine some questions, so this issue had an impact on my test and was frustrating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Lyssna's service is super quick, most of the time I have my validation and feedback within half an hour. I can quickly validate designs before I have them built by Dev before going into lengthy quantitavive ab-testing.
You just upload the files (in a preference test) and get user feedback almost instantly, this is why we use Lyssna for almost every new big change on out e-commerce platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think the feedback section can have a bit more space per answer, I usually choose 50 participants and have to scroll quite a bit. I haven't tried the pro version yet, but the standard version is good enough for what I need at this moment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Fantastic tool if you're looking for fast, easy access to audience insights. One of its biggest strengths is the speed—I've been able to get comprehensive results in just a few hours. The segmentation capabilities are another major plus; they're detailed enough to give you a precise view of your audience, which is essential for crafting effective campaigns. Certain niche segmentations lack a large enough sample, which can limit their usefulness. Additionally, the pricing can scale up quickly, especially if you're conducting frequent analyses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Lyssna makes user testing incredibly easy with its straightforward, intuitive interface. From the moment you sign in, the platform guides you through the setup process with minimal friction. Implementing tests is a breeze, with simple step-by-step instructions and pre-configured templates that save a lot of time. The ease of gathering feedback and analyzing results is impressive, making it an efficient tool for both beginners and experienced testers alike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While Lyssna excels in usability, the platform could benefit from a wider range of features. Currently, it offers the essentials for user testing, but lacks more advanced tools like deeper analytics or customizable reporting options. Adding more features would make it even more powerful for larger teams or projects with more complex needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Really easy-to-understand tool. We did some user testing for the first time few months ago and it was really understandable for new user.
Haven't really tried any alternative yet, but so far Lyssna has been quite good and helpful tool! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Would like to see how many respondents there are in my chosen target group. Maybe there is this option somewhere already, but haven't seen it clearly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
