I love the flexibility of connecting to storage like a NAS and the speeds are noticeable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Downside is pricing per person after 5 people and the UI could have additional information/settings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
LucidLink has become the center piece of my remote editing workflow. With everything cached to a local drive, it acts as a local drive even though I am sharing it with at least one other editor or assistant. Together with Mimiq for Avid bin locking, it is as if I am cutting together with someone in the next room. I would not be able to work these past few years without LucidLink. It is more than worth what I pay for it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There really are no downsides if you use it correctly. I pin everything to a fast local drive formatted APFS on my Mac so everything is smooth. Of course with anything like this the performance relies on fast Internet, which I have. So I have been very pleased with the experience. Ultimately I would like to see the ability to mount more than one filespace at the same time. But I have been told repeatedly that this feature is in the works and will be available soon. The fact I can have rushes uploaded from an international location and useable and editable directly in Premiere Pro in another country or location is game-changing. It's become an integral part of our production workflow, allowing us to share footage and projects with remote editors instantly. Featuring robust user settings you can give access to individual projects or groups of edits to the people who need them with the flexibility to update permissions on the fly. It's super easy to integrate LucidLink into your production workflow and if you have any issues their customer support is second to none, we've always got someone on hand to help us navigate any issues we've faced. With its ease of implementation, you'll be sure to use this system all the time, not just for one-off projects as the backbone of your production studio. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Its quite hard to fault the system, the only downfalls you'll face are based on the internet connection you have however Lucid has some inbuilt features that work in the background to minimise the impact these bottlenecks would have on using the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that LucidLink takes care of all the heavy lifting in terms of setting up a robust cloud sharing platform. I literally install and work. It can't get any simpler Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike nothing about the platform, I just wish more people were using it so collaboration would be eaiser for new users to trust. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The beauty of LucidLink is that you can be up and running with a team of editors around the globe in fairly short order. Simply uploaded my team's footage and I was up and running in very little time. And this goes for members of our team who were on the opposite side of the planet. If you have a good internet connection, you really can't beat the seamless and fast editing that we have been able to do with LL.
Additionally, their team were very response with any and all questions. Ive already had multiple calls with their friendly and very knowledgeable staff. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The initial set-up with Mac OS machines with the M1 and M2 chips were a little less than ideal. Not difficult, really, but could initially make some hesitant. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

LucidLink is incredible. I use it frequently. It was very easy to install and setup. It works realtime with even a modest internet connection. The price point is very reasonable for the amount of storage you get. Working with fellow editors is easy as well becasue they can log in and use the same footage. No need to setup all of the different dropbox or drive features and their customer support is amazing. This is a must for any video production studio looking for an easy solution to integrate into their workflows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There does seems to be a lag in system performance when connected to LucidLink but it is very minimal and does not dissuade from continuing to use it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Control of user access to only assigned shares and projects. The ability to mantain control of data and content while enabling shared workflows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Cleanup of old trashed folders when end users hand on to data\trahses.
Inability to provide vendors, clients an "FTP" link to upload content to our shares without onboarding them as users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The easiest type of installation on any device, the business model. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The integration with other software is not the best, scheduling routines for moving folders and speeding up files. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
