LucidLink is hands down the most effective and also most simple solution to being able to offline edit our broadcast media projects thanks to its compatibility with Premiere, its speed and reliability Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is little to dislike about LucidLink but, however you skin it, any solution like this is an extra link in the local server / proxies / editing platform / remote user's machine / remote user workflow and as such niggles do emerge. The volume of rushes, the data rate, the number of channels or tracks being accessed as live on the editing platform are all still preferable than working locally, but this is now only marginal whereas before LucidLink it was fundamental. This is a game-changer if you have a remote video or design team. Being able to open projects, and stream files in real-time has changed the way our team works. It's an amazing program and I highly recommend it. The pricing is affordable, especially in the pay-as-you-go model. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I'd like a little more insight into what is cached (pinned) and what is not.
Still dependent on your team members' internet connection.
It has issues occasionally with Canon RAW codecs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We're using LucidLink to quickly shift uncompressible data from an EC2 instance to a customer's on-prem storage as a part of a broadcast workflow. Drop files into the LucidLink drive in the cloud and they appear on the other side - as quickly as the connection can support. We're fans and we'll be using this for other customers with similar needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
No complaints. Does one thing incredibly well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love that my workspace mounts directly in Finder (or Windows Explorer) and behaves as if it was an external HD. Great way to collaborate with remote team members and access files from both my Windows desktop workhorse and Mac laptop. "Pinning" is a very important feature to master for Basic users. I wish it were easier to keep a cache on an external HD. You have to be really careful and specific about the order of operations when mounting and dismounting your external HD and Lucid workspace, otherwise you risk rebuilding the cache from scratch, which at least with Lucid Basic takes a long time and costs you hours of editing. My remote editor also claims that her computer runs slower when Lucid is mounted. It's possible there's some user error but overall I would not describe the process of adopting Lucid into our workflow as exactly seamless. Once we work out the kinks I think this will become a core part of our workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The best part of using Lucid is the relatively seamless file-sharing and version-syncing capabilities. The fact that Lucid operates like any other hard drive makes it easy for all team members to understand and organize. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some of Lucid's connectivity issues and general system glitches make it hard to maintain a seamless workflow. Its tendency to disconnect when in the middle of projects and occasional upload issues make it an imperfect application. But with these issues remedied, I would easily recommend the software 10/10. - LucidLink's on-demand data streaming works really well. Not having to wait for a full file to be downloaded means my editors can get to work quickly.
- Adding users and shaping permissions is dead simple.
- Built-in snapshotting gives us peace of mind. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- Installation on newer Macs can be a pain because of the way Apple has made it more difficult to use system extensions like LucidLink.
- I wish users could be managed from the web GUI instead of just in the desktop client. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Our media is available to all our editors at any location that has a reliable internet connection. Our plan is scalable as our projects grow. The ability to mount the cloud share as a removable disk makes searching in OSX finder much easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
To no fault of the service, the minimum internet speed isn't always achievable. You have to plan ahead and pin your files to a local or removable hard drive. The other main issue is installing the Lucid Client app. It can be tricky on Apple computers, as you have to disable some security protocols. This has led to some vendors/clients not wanting to use the app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Had no issues and everything always worked. Drive was always visible and was always very responsive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I did not have any issues or dislike anything. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

A quick way to share files with team members working remotely. It's easy to install and use. We can also connect to many drives and operate in more than one filespace simultaneously. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would like to have access to the filespace using a smartphone app. Another thing is it would be great to mount the filespace to work offline. The generated link doesn't work well to click on it when we share it in some applications like Discord. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
