LL has been very well received by our customers and most find it to be intuitive. Our support team loves how easy it to use and how easy and fast it is to see where a customer is at with their rewards. Customizing and adding new rewards is easy. We couldn’t be happier with our experience using Loyalty Lion so far! We discovered the need to switch loyalty programs in late May when we realized that our current provider was not user-friendly, nor in many cases accurate. Because of this, we decided to do some Loyalty program vetting to decide if we wanted to stay with our original loyalty provider for another year, or if there was a better option out there. We quickly found Loyalty Lion, and our question to learn about them commenced.
From the get-go, their team provided stellar support during the sales process (huge shout-out to James) and our launch, guiding us through every step with patience and expertise. They made what could have been a stressful process feel like a breeze.
(So far) The system has been a dream to operate – intuitive, user-friendly, and powerful. Our team is quickly getting the hang of it, and are excited to utilize customization options that weren’t available to us with our last rewards program.
What truly sets Loyalty Lion apart though, is their willingness to go above and beyond to meet our unique needs. They didn’t just offer us a one-size-fits-all solution; they took the time to understand our specific requirements and were more than willing to explore bespoke options for our site. The biggest shoutout of all goes to Jason for all of the bespoke design work, willingness to listen to feedback, and ability to find creative workarounds that allowed us to seamlessly transition our program over earlier today.
The communication throughout has been top-notch — prompt, clear, and always friendly. They are responsive, proactive, and always ready to assist. It's clear they value their customers and are dedicated to ensuring we succeed.
The system also integrates extremely well with the apps we currently use regularly: Klaviyo, Attentive, & Shopify and the team at LL is always willing to into API integrations for specialty rewards. We are regularly in our loyalty program, assessing tiers, spend, and customer behavior - the LL analytics & insights really excite us, as we didn't have nearly this visibility or ability to look at different segments so easily.
In short, Loyalty Lion has been a game-changer for us. If you're looking for a loyalty program provider that combines stellar support, ease of use, and a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction, look no further.

8-month update: One of my favorite things about the system is how quick & easy it is to set up new rules & rewards, as well as easily see how much each reward has been redeemed, to continue assessing what our customers desire. LL's 'quick look' information allows us to quickly see all the details of our program and makes it relatively easy in most situations to update what we need update. The support team and our success manager are definitely communicative and happy to help wherever they can. The Program Analytics page is one of my favorites, to quickly see/evaluate how often rewards are claimed, what kinds of rewards customers are claiming, and what kinds of activities they are completing. So far, I cannot think of any downsides or cons - as we continue our relationship with them, we will evaluate their performance & customer service with a live program, and have all the confidence that we will continue to see the type of service that we've seen since the beginning. But we'll update if that changes!
8-month update: at the time, one of the major downfalls we have experienced with LL is that they don't (currently) integrate with our Reviews & Ratings platform, so we are unable to incentivize product/store reviews/ratings the way that we have in the past, or run Loyalty promotions tied to Reviews. LL is exploring this integration for us, but at this time anything that we would want to do between the two programs would have to be manually managed. Additionally, I wish that the 'Customers' page had an option to filter -- it has the option to search by customer ID, name, or email but doesn't allow me to filter my customer results by things like activities, points, rewards, revenue, tier, status, or enrolled at. In order to do that kind of filtering, I have to export ALL of my customers and then work on the results in Excel -- an example for this would be being able to quickly compare monthly signups to evaluate the use of signup promotions -- being able to quickly filter out customers sets based on certain parameters would help not only with targeting, but also with understanding the behavior of our consumers. From the initial contact with Lewis in the Account team to Reya in the Onboarding team, the LoyaltyLion team has always been on hand to provide quick and extensive support. We went ahead with a custom-designed loyalty page for our CBD & supplement brand, Provacan, and throughout the process, both Lewis and Reya ensured we had the best value from the program. Reya didn’t hesitate to jump on calls or provide detailed emails and Loom videos, guiding us through every step with patience and a client-first mindset. We felt valued as a client from day one to post-launch, ensuring everything was running smoothly.
Beyond their stellar support, the platform itself is a powerhouse of features and flexibility. The ability to fully customise and brand our loyalty program set it apart from competitors, offering a seamless and engaging customer experience. Unlike some providers, LoyaltyLion gives brands the freedom to create a program that feels like an integral part of their store rather than an add-on. The rapid speed of implementation was another standout, migrating from another provider was smooth, and the data transfer was impeccable. Additionally, integrations with key tools like Yotpo, Recharge, and Klaviyo were completely hassle-free, making it easy to align our loyalty program with our broader marketing efforts.
Another huge plus is how receptive the LoyaltyLion team is to feedback. They’ve already rolled out impressive new features in recent months, such as auto-enrollment for customers using Shopify’s new accounts system and new checkout and customer account integrations. While the overall experience has been highly positive, there are a few areas for improvement. The basic page builder is quite limited in design scope, meaning additional web development resources may be required for a truly custom experience. However, if extra customisation isn’t needed, launching a loyalty program can be done in under 30 days. Klaviyo email flows are built by LoyaltyLion's team with the brand's provided text, but brands remain responsible for their own content. In our case, the chosen Klaviyo email templates didn’t match our latest designs, leading to duplicated work.
Another challenge was that some features weren’t visible until the scheme was fully live, which unnecessarily complicated testing and refinement. Additionally, the migration process requires resetting rewards and tiers, adding extra steps and potential last-minute adjustments when time is already tight pre-launch.
Feature-wise, while LoyaltyLion offers extensive capabilities, some refinements would enhance its flexibility. For example, not being able to schedule double-point events, exclude certain products or ranges from specific rewards or dynamically pull how many points are needed until reaching the next reward or tier on Klaviyo, can be limiting.
That said, LoyaltyLion’s rapid rollout of new features and ongoing improvements, gives us confidence that these limitations will continue to be addressed. Overall, the platform provides incredible value, and its powerful features, customisation options, and exceptional client support make it a standout choice for brands looking to build a truly engaging loyalty experience. We use it together with Shopify and Klaviyo and the integration is impecable. Also the data gives great insights on the evolution of the programme and is incredibly simple to use and understand. The data is not split between Shopify WEB and POS and it would be ideal to track these separately. I do not like that the system automatically creates accounts for all POS purchases with an email associated to them. Therefore it accounts buyers as loyalty members even though they have not proactively signed up for the programme. I checked with other suppliers and it's always this way, so it must be the standard. Loyalty Lion is the only Referral Program which have everything we need at a reasonable price. Additionally, it is really easy to use if you don't need any custom integration. The team was always available and didn't try to sell us additional software we didn't want to, instead it integrates with the app and software we already use. The onboarding team also helped us implement the loyalty program, following all of our instructions and requests.
After a few months using it, I can say that their support team is always available to help with a very short response time. Some of the feature we requested was then implemented, like showing the referral link at the thank you page. As an agency owner responsible for creating the https://provacan.co.uk/ frontend experience, I found LoyaltyLion’s documentation around custom-designed pages to be a game-changer. The majority of the guides were thorough, user-friendly, and made it easy to craft a custom loyalty landing page ad functionality that fit seamlessly within the Provacan brand. The integration with Shopify was equally smooth, allowing a quick and painless setup. A huge plus was having Reya as our onboarding manager — her prompt email support and informative Loom recordings went above and beyond what I typically experience with app providers like this. That you have to log into Shopify accounts and revisit the loyalty page for it to update with your details - it feels a little longwinded. A lot of our audience 35-55 and we find ourselves having to explain how to set up their account. As we are a small business we find it difficult to give the program the attention it deserves, it is often just left ticking along in the background - we know we need to be more creative with the marketing to get more customers signed up but we find it too time consuming setting up email flows and incorporating the program into campaigns.
