I like that we can invite our own users for usability testing, whether moderated or not. I like that it records the sessions and stores them. It is convenient to be able to create different projects and add descriptions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Users have a lot of difficulty with the plug-in, which sometimes causes no-shows. I found out that some of the users came to the session, but we could not see each other for some reason. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I never had any difficulty navigating through Lookback. The UI is easy to figure out, it's easy to integrate into other platforms, video is easy to analyze and splice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Lookback is a remote user interview tool, that does what it's supposed to do well.
When we were using it they didn't offer a transcription tool that would have been valuable to have but they may have upgraded it since we used it a couple years ago. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like the most is that many people can observe the interviews live and comment on what is happening with the interviewer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
nothing in particular. Maybe some more features could be added to ease the technical problems on the team side (poor connection for example) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

My favorite feature was that a participant during a user interview has no idea how many other observers are there. It's so valuable for team members (designers, engineers, product, etc.) to hear things directly from users during a testing session; however, in some tools, they can see every person on the call. When they see all of those names, they sometimes clam up and aren't as open with their feedback during a research session.
I also loved the ability to communicate directly with observers in the tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some users had trouble getting into a session through the tool. They needed to download the app and allow several permissions before they were connected with me. Without another contact method (which I usually didn't have because of PII concerns), it wasn't easy to troubleshoot. When I sent out a 1-page PDF with step-by-step instructions and screenshots of what to do, that helped a bit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When lookback works, it's absolutely perfect!
Most users go through the installation process just fine because of the clear instructions.
Audio and video are usually pretty clear (but this depends on the user's bandwidth).
I LOVE the notes with timestamping and the ability to have observers go back and rewatch sessions! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When a user is even *slightly* tech illiterate, or there are bandwidth issues, lookback suffers from the same problems as every other similar service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

My favorite feature is the ability to bookmark certain timestamps of recorded sessions and add notes. Our UXR then goes in to compile all this qualitative data into our UX Research repository for easy search of terms associated to certain features we were testing at the time. I wish there was a desktop notification through the browser letting us know that a user has joined and is waiting for the facilitator to start. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like the most about using lookback is while watching all the usability test recording is to add comments right on the seekback while watching and examining the videos. The fact that you can record screen and your camera facing the user is absolutely what I like the most in lookback. I can easily download twi version of the recordings, screen-shot and user facing the camera. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Unfortunately lookback does NOT yet support any big screen/ smart TV as well as Apple for recording. We are a cross platform subscription service and would love to get this future available for us. In addition while sharing recorded videos with other teammates, its asking for additional fees. Sometimes video would go black and white and I know how to fix it. You no longer support Mac lookback application which I have more confident in using it while recording. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I really like how I can add notes to the videos and also easily watch the old recordings and rewind/fast forward easily. I like the ease that lookback gives people, I am able to watch a live session from anywhere and also able to go back and refer to old recordings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I really don't like how I cannot close the chat portion when viewing sessions on lookback. I usually use slack to contact the user research moderator instead of using the chat/comment portion. Because I want to make the video screen larger I wish I could close the chat part. I also wish the entire block would be clickable when trying to see old recordings instead of just the text link of the participant. I also wish I didn't have to click twice to join a live session. One of the real innovative features of Lookback is the real-time remote user research. You can communicate directly with the users and see what they see while getting their reactions as they happen. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It can be frustrating when the connection drops. It's only happened to me personally twice but its not cool. It only happens for a few seconds but it always seems to be right at the point I am most interested. Murphy's Law I guess. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
