What do you like best about LibreOffice Draw?

What I like most about LibreOffice Draw is how straightforward it is to use for creating quick diagrams and flowcharts. It’s not overly complicated, which makes it great for beginners, and I love that it’s completely free. The ability to work with PDFs and export in different formats is super handy too—it saves me time when I need to share my work with others. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LibreOffice Draw?

What I find a bit frustrating about LibreOffice Draw is that the interface feels a little clunky and old-fashioned compared to other tools out there. It’s not always the easiest to use for more detailed or complex projects, and things like aligning shapes or editing them precisely can be tricky. It’s great for basic stuff, but it struggles when you need more advanced features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is LibreOffice Draw solving and how is that benefiting you?

LibreOffice Draw helps me create diagrams, flowcharts, and simple graphics without needing expensive software. It’s great for organizing ideas visually or creating quick designs for presentations. The ability to edit PDFs is also a huge plus—it saves me from switching between different tools, making my workflow more efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about LibreOffice Draw?

It's easy to get started and free. It's open source, so we could add a button to the menu and integrate it with our lasercutters. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LibreOffice Draw?

Sometimes the menus migrate all over the screen, get hidden and the reset is not intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering LibreOffice Draw:

It's really the best software for using with beginners in CAD for lasercutters and vinylcutters Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is LibreOffice Draw solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use LibreOffice Draw in our Fab Lab as free software for lasercutting CAD. We wrote a little python script to add a simple pop up box for inputting boundaries, power, speed and frequency that allows even our youngest fabricators to learn how to control the lasercutter. I work with youth whose families live with low incomes and using free software allows them to download and design at home! We've been using the software for over 15 years with great success! What do you like best about LibreOffice Draw?

I like that it's free, well maintained, widely used, Linux compatible, versatile and powerful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LibreOffice Draw?

I wish LibreOffice was the standard and not MS Office as that would allow much more freedom. I would have liked them to include an Outlook-like mail client although there are acceptable free alternatives to Outlook. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering LibreOffice Draw:

Further empower your graphics arsenal with Krita, GIMP, Inkscape and Blender Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is LibreOffice Draw solving and how is that benefiting you?

I'm a Linux user and have been using both Linux and LibreOffice (previously OpenOffice) since 2002 and I have not found it lacking. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
