Describe the project or task Level Up Translation helped with:

For our mobile game CleverStorm as well as for the store description and with a count of 1865 words we needed a professional translation in the languages: English, French, Polish, Dutch, Spanish, Italian, Chinese Simplified, Korean and Japanese. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Level Up Translation?

The entire process was simple, flexible and clear. Damien from Level Up Translation took care of us throughout the project and kept us informed.

All communication was very relaxed and professional, which made the whole process even easier. The team was always suggesting improvements and giving tips, which gave us the feeling that they weren't just doing a quick 0815 translation, but were paying close attention. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Level Up Translation?

There is nothing we did not like. It is everything we wanted and imagined. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Level Up Translation solving and how is that benefiting you?

The translation of our game was a big headache in the beginning and after a long and painful search, we found Level UP Translation.

The team fulfilled everything we had imagined for a translation with a very high level of competence. Everything was flexible, uncomplicated, fast and also cost-effective.

We will continue to work with Level UP Translation in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Describe the project or task Level Up Translation helped with:

We used Level Up for the German, Spanish, Chinese, and Russian translations for our indie game, Freedom Finger.

The game had a ton of text (7,000 words +) and is heavily focused on comedy, so it was important for us that the jokes and tone carried over to non-English speaking players.

Level Up worked closely with us and really delivered an amazing translation. It's allowed our game to reach players around the globe and was well worth the time and financial cost.

Indie or AAA, I'd highly recommend devs reaching out to Damien and the Level Up team for their next project! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Level Up Translation?

High quality translations, fast turnaround time, competitive price. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Level Up Translation?

The whole process went really smooth. No complaints! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Level Up Translation solving and how is that benefiting you?

Allowed us to reach a global audience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Describe the project or task Level Up Translation helped with:

Level Up has translated our mobile game "Pixel Manager: Football" in English (from Italian) and has translated its website in 7 different languages (English, French, German, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Turkish). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Level Up Translation?

I liked very much the fact that Damien is very capable to chose the right translator by considering the category of the game he had to translate: our is a football game and we needed someone who understood football.

I think the final translation is great.

Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Level Up Translation?

As I've read in another review, "If there is a downside I have not encountered it yet."

I can confirm that.

Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Level Up Translation:

Just have a try and I think you won't regret your choice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Level Up Translation solving and how is that benefiting you?

In addition to a work very well done, in addition to Damien's availability, a small studio like us benefits from fair pricing.

In a near future (we hope) we will work again with Level Up for translating our game in, at least, 3 more languages and I think we will get a high quality at a nice price! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Describe the project or task Level Up Translation helped with:

Level Up helped us to translate our game Levelhead and our website https://www.bscotch.net into 8+ different languages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Level Up Translation?

We worked on pilot projects that are low cost and fast turn-around, which allowed us to understand the workflow and the quality of the translators. When started the actual project, the project manager is very thorough to access our needs and the scope of the project and allocate resources to help us meet our deadlines. Throughout the project, communications are handled fast and effectively. After the project is done, we were still able to get support on correcting minor details based on the users' reviews and suggestions.

Most importantly, the team is willing to adapt to our tools change as we moved away from manual spreadsheets merging and version control to a centralized and automated system. We collaborated on the design of the system and smoothly migrated, and I appreciate the team's flexibility and responsiveness in this process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Level Up Translation?

Initially, we had to sign separate agreements on a per-project base, which is a lot of administrative overhead. However, after we established a mutual understanding of the source language input speed and the translation output speed, we were able to even out the workflow and transition into a relationship that requires less paperwork. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Level Up Translation:

The team is small and tight-knit, so everyone is on the same page and can correspond very fast. However, if you have a big project, you will want to plan your schedule ahead so that the team has enough time to coordinate and finish the work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Level Up Translation solving and how is that benefiting you?

We needed translation for the product itself, the marketing material, and the supporting website. Level Up was able to complete these work with respect to their unique context and keep the brand consistency, so it became our one-stop-shop for all of our needs. Describe the project or task Level Up Translation helped with:

Level Up Translation worked with us at SeithCG to localize our award-winning action/RPG game 'Ghost of a Tale' into French, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian and simplified Chinese. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Level Up Translation?

Ghost of a Tale was by far the most complex project, writing and localization-wise that I've been involved with and, thanks to Level Up and Damien, also the smoothest and most rewarding.

Our core team for Ghost of a Tale was very small. Beyond managing the localization itself, Damien also helped us plan a schedule that enabled us to stagger the delivery of our text assets, allowing us to concentrate on the remaining creative work. Damien was also instrumental in planning out and testing our localization pipeline. Just before starting the localization process, Damien ran through a number of tests with us to make sure the delivery and integration of files on return would be as smooth as possible.

The translators worked both methodically and creatively, and took a lot of care to make sure they understood the style and tone of the game before they began work. Throughout the localization process they constantly stayed in touch to make sure things were on the right track. I really got a strong sense that they cared about the game.

The Level Up team was also very responsive if any issues did arise. Damien always made sure I had what I needed before he signed off at the end of the day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Level Up Translation?

I'm genuinely struggling to think of anything I disliked about the service Level Up provided. I think there are pipeline issues that we would handle differently in the future, but that's really just part of the learning process of working together. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Level Up Translation solving and how is that benefiting you?

I genuinely believe the game was so well-received in Europe in large part due to the care and diligence with which Damien and Level Up worked. In fact the majority of our sales have come in the markets Level Up localized for. They were professional, caring and collaborative. I highly recommend Level Up, and sincerely look forward to continuing our professional relationship. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Describe the project or task Level Up Translation helped with:

A publishing platform required translation of some strings we didn't have, including some legal statements, and Level Up turned it around incredibly quickly for a very broad set of languages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Level Up Translation?

The title of this review says it all really; I found the process very clear and helpful, the responses near instant and very pleasant in tone, as well as the work itself impeccable. They even spotted some translation errors in the stuff they weren't assigned to cover, and helped us fix those too! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Level Up Translation?

If there is a downside I have not encountered it yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Level Up Translation solving and how is that benefiting you?

The speed of turnaround for some rather complicated translations was impressive, and the price very competitive. I'm quite relieved knowing a resource like this exists. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Describe the project or task Level Up Translation helped with:

Level Up took over Chinese localization for our game. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Level Up Translation?

The translation quality is high, but what I like best is how fast communication occurs. No waiting 2 business days between every reply with this company. Projects run fast and smooth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Level Up Translation?

I have not experienced any downsides or dislikes with this company. There was a small file issue with a translation we received, but Level Up fixed it and resent it within an hour of me bringing it to their attention. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Level Up Translation solving and how is that benefiting you?

It's hard to find quality, reliable, and flexible translators; especially for Chinese. It was very important to us to find this service, since China is responsible for a massive percentage of our game sales. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
