LawVu has not only an excellent in house legal software product, but fabulous staff to support your internal change management /installation and growth process. Our team uses it daily and has achieved increased efficiencies and now have clear metrics to demonstrate the need for internal resources and show our ongoing cost savings. I love things that are simple, organised and effective. There have been no downsides to this software. If I had to pick, it would be not having access to it earlier!! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My favorite thing about LawVu is the ease of use. It has an interface that is easy to understand and navigate, which helps me to use LawVu to organize my tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike that some features, like the to-do list, will glitch or just not work, which makes it harder to keep track of my tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ability to see all matters Legal team is dealing with. Ability to filter matters to run reports for particular departments so Dept Heads can see where Legal is engaged. Ability to run reports to see which Depts aren't engaging with us.
Developing self-serve contracts enables the Legal team to be seen as an early adopter of technological solutions and innovative.
We use Articles frequently for knowledge capture.
It's really intuitive and being able to customer matter types and fields without going back to LawVu means it's really quick and easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hard to look through emails to find particular emails. I always default to going back to Outlook when i'm looking for an email. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Ease of use is near the top of my list, followed closely by versatility. I've personally taught at least a half dozen colleagues how to use LawVu; even though they come from wildly different backgrounds, they all picked it up very quickly. I love how easy it is to use LawVu to make very tailor-made matter types, views, and work flows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There isn't enough engagement to share new features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It makes it so simple to see who is doing what on our team. I can easily tell what tasks still need to be accomplished, where we are in the process, who we are waiting on, and what they need to do. It's so convenient to have everything all in one place. We have our entire company using it daily for all legal requests.
I also love the LawVu folks - both the implementation team and the ongoing support rep have been absolutley stellar. LawVu is intuitive and easy to learn; I am the Executive Assistant (supporting the Gen. Counsel), with no legal background, and I was able to quickly pick up how to use and administrate the application for our team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The integrations, while always being improved, are not as robust as they could be. I'm looking forward to seeing how they continue to upgrade their Slack integration in particular. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Lawvu's integration of matter and contracts has created a coherent and logical workflow for our in-house legal team. Their intuitive interface has made it easier for both the business user to use it as a legal front door, and the in-house legal to customize and tailor workflows to our own requirements and preferences. The addition of analytics and reporting capabilities empowered us to drive more actionable insights and speak the language of the business through data.
Also would love to mention how helpful the LawVu has been from start to finish. They've been very supportive with the check-ins, feedback, and also shares with us their product roadmaps to help us understand their direction, priorities, and what's next. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Like in most tech, there are some integrations that are limited but could be improved. In addition, they've added new modules to their product, but we do think it would also be good to prioritize the basic features that are essential for both matters and contracts as well. To name a few, it would be better to have more visibility options for business users so that it likewise empowers them to use the tool, the currency options are also limited. There is a workaround on this but causes confusion as we operate in the Middle East. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Anecdotally, I would say LawVu is the single most impactful tool I've used in my legal career that allowed me to to my job better, with greater efficiency, and in more progressive, business-forward and impactful ways than I could previously. It is the "daily driver" that facilitates our legal work, and is second only to our Westlaw subscription as the most important legal technology we simply couldn't live without.
As a proponent of the "new age" in-house legal department approach, where legal exists not as an internal law firm but rather a full-fledged business partner whose preeminent charge is to facilitate quality business decisions made with sound legal advice, LawVu helps us to synergize our law departement philosophy with effective delivery of legal services.
It is difficult to overstate the impact of LawVu on our legal operations, but the following are some of the ways it has been impactful:
- streamlined intake that puts the focus on our business stakeholders, their needs, their priorities, and allows legal to facilitate those priorities efficiently.
- increased visibility of ALL legal work with less issues "slipping through the cracks"
- common approach to internal legal services that is easily understood by lawyers, support personnel, management and business stakeholders, which helps to get everyone on the same page quickly and keep it that way, with easy status updating, matter tracking, communication, and document management
- easily configurable business portal allowing legal to share important inforation with the business, receive matter/issue requests easily, and manage contracts (creation, approval, signing, storage, and key data) all within the same centralized solution
- ability to track key data metrics over time that help with legal resource planning, management of existing legal resource allocation, and develop insights for socializing among our business stakeholders/partners
- less back and forth from system to system, to files and folders, from source to source, in order to work on current matters, answer follow-up questions on closed matters, or resurface previous matters for new application
- easy integrations with other systems - both commercially procured and custom developed or "home grown"
- customer support has been exceptional, with extremely fast response times, regular and open contact with account rep, and excellent communication on feature requests, bug fixes, or any other quesitons Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While the benefits far outweigh any downsides of using LawVu, there are a few areas where the system needs improvement:
- system notifications are not currently customizable by the user/administrator, so messages that come from LawVu don't have our company's "voice"
- no built-in prioritization functions allowing the user to set priority for existing and incoming work (though with matters/contracts being extremely configurable, we've been able to implement our own prioritization mechanisms that satisfy this need)
- built-in knowledgebase is great to have, but could use some additional features to make it really shine, such as additional document editing/formatting, more drill-down and categorization, and additional wasy to present knowledge articles
- document management is very good within individual matters and contracts, but there is no central document management module to allow visibility into ALL files/folders within LawVu in one place (this can be mitigated through utilizing their easy integration with Sharepoint, but our company does not currently use that integration)
- not currently able to brand the system to give it a more "internal" feel like some other systems Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Incredibly intuitive platform that streamlines workflow, creates a single source of truth and ensure good legal governance and oversight within a company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Inability to create articles which store resources for the business. I usually have to link the document (which is stored in Sharepoint) for users to access, e.g. precedents.
Also the contract wizard function is a bit cumbersome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

LawVu streamlines our intake and workflow operations. It also creates a useful and easy to access historical record of matters and contracts. The key date reminders and reporting functions are very helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The LawVu app is weak - but they are aware of this and are already making changes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
