We switched over from an older POS to Korona almost 5 years ago. The system is great! Fast, efficient, customizable, and has great reporting tools as well! We use it everyday, with only minor issues here and there. A quick call to the support staff will always fix it, they are are very friendly and based in the USA! The system software is originally from Germany, so there was a slight learning curve trying to figure out POS button sequences. It's the most efficient, but it takes some getting used to. There are also a lot of features, which is a plus, but they aren't all explained very well without multiple emails/calls with the support team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The "all-in-one" system capabilities such as ticketing, retail, food/beverage, online sales, and more. Having one POS that can be sufficient in multiple different areas is extremely beneficial for both reporting and operational purposes. The ticketing portion of Korona is fantastic for validation of tickets, reloading wristbands, scanning at turnstiles and handheld devices, and more.
The customer service is also consistent and very helpful. We have worked with other systems that do not have good customer service and can be impossible to reach. The team really cares about solving issues and coming up with solutions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

SW updates consistently worse. Remove functions like checking stock and store prices in 3 clicks to a 20 click exercise. Every time you save a Quote, it throws up a splash screen/click OK. Why? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Speed, reliability and robust feature sets are critical for a retail business. Korona has an amazing architecture that enables these key concepts, plus a solid discipline in releasing new improvements on a regular basis without any interruption in business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Korona is a robust POS solution and includes many features that you may not ever use, however, they are there when you need them. It is not efficient to learn all of these features at the beginning of deployment, so this slows down implementations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I wish they had a mobile app that could be ran on a handheld unit. That way we can have more checkpout options when we are busy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Our store has been using Korona POS and it has made running our buisness easier. The system allows for us to enter and remove things from inventory easily and frequently. When we have hiccups we are able to reach their customer service who is responsive and quick with answers. The instilation was not too difficult to complete. The back end of the system is not as accesable for general users. You need a higher lever of technology skill set to work the back end of the system, which we run into issues with when people are not used to or have not been directly taught how to run the system. Another thing that would be nice is creating a program where you can update your equipment i.e. the computer/physical POS. It would be nice if there was a way to return old equipment to update to new equipment without having to pay outright for the new stuff. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

When technology does not do what is supposed too, its always a dislike. we have had minimal problems now that we have it up and running.

I like how straightforward the back office is when looking for data, and seeing so much important information at a one-shot glance on the dashboard is very nice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Customer profiles are not that useful currently. I would like to see a payment integration on file when you use customer look-up; it would be nice to have the card on file ready to go in the payment screen instead of ALT-TAB from back office browser to the POS software typing the numbers into the keypad.
