I have been using their service for around 2 years. Initially, I provided them 5 star review. But after 2 years, I am forced to update my review and I may switch out of their service also. Their general autoresponder system works well, but will not let you serve your clients as they will delete your contacts and priceless leads/contacts if you do not send emails to them for 3 months (default is now one month)!
This means if you do not send anything to any contact for 1 month (by default), that contact will be deleted for good! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Meet their so-called feature "Zombie Emails Remover"! Initially, they used to remove inactive emails after 3 years of inactivity. But recently they changed that to 3 months max (their default was 1 month). They did that without any notice and deleted most of my high-value contacts. Now let me tell you the problems with that so-called feature (I did my research and contacted them also).
1. As the default is 1 month, if you do not send any emails to them within that time, that contacts are gone.
2. If one of your customer is in vacation or just choose to not read your email (because of title or it is in the promotional tab), that contact will also be gone in 1-3 months.
3. They say this feature will increase the open rate. Let me explain the real situation:
- Suppose you have a contact list of 1000 contacts. Let's say your initial open rate is 30% of that. Which means 300 people opened your email.
- After their cleanup, they are likely to remove around 40% your contacts (so-called inactive contacts). However, atleast half of that would open your email in future at some point if you could send emails with proper title.
- Now you have 600 contacts. If you send new emails to them, around 200 of previous openers will open your email and a new 70 will open who didn't open last time. So the total is 270 people this time (which is 30 less than the last time).
- But But But! The 270 is 45% of 600. See? The open rate is increased, although the total number of opened emails reduced a lot.
Also, their transactional emails are supper bad. They go straight to the spam folders.
Also, a lot of time their service stops sending emails to your customers and you won't notice this. They won't fix that as well unless you contact them.
