I started using Keynote when I was in middle school, and it is a great learning tool to create powerpoints and create simple graphic designs or advertisements. It's easy to manipulate images (easier to manipulate than in Microsoft PowerPoint in my opinion) and it's fun to create fun presentations for work on it. I still use use it to this day as my go-to when I have to create something for work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It gets frustrating to work on the app; I have to click around many times to get the cursor on the page to write a body of text, but it's not a deal breaker. I recommend using Keynote on a computer. However, the app is still great! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's really so surprising that this application is entirely free but only for macOS devices. The user interface is so smooth. The effects are amazing and work like a charm. It has many options for export file types. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The most significant disadvantage point for this application is: only work in macOS Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that there are great built-in image/graphic/text editing features and it's easy to organize my content to where it's visually appealing and makes sense. I also like how easy it is to export as a PDF version, and I like that it saves the latest versions of the file in Box for you automatically so it's easier for people on the team to collaborate and see the most recent updates. I dislike that the grid lines aren't accurate and placing objects in line with one another can be a challenge. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Professional templates and effects create stunning and easy to understand presentations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I'd like there to be more options for stying the graphics and text at times so I don't have to go to photoshop to create something. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love how easy it is to use. The functions are simple and easy to find. The conversion into pdf formats is so simple. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is a pity that it is only available only on a macbook and not on windows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Keynote is so much more than a PowerPoint copy. I love that you can use keynote to create short animated explainer videos, gifs, and other video content that requires frequent text edits. For those who need a quick video that is text-heavy, keynote is easy and doesn't require a background in video editing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
If you are used to Microsoft PowerPoint, there is a large learning curve. But more importantly, most other companies use PowerPoint. Keynote is great for our internal meetings or when saving an attractive presentation to PDF. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Keynote is more user friendly than PowerPoint and the slide designs are attractive. The transitions and effects are spectacular. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
PowerPoint is still the premier program for presentations so all documents created in keynote must be transferred to pptx extensions to play on non-MacIntosh computers or to be transferred on google drive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Great interface with nice looking templates. Able to easily edit presentation to look professional Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Keynote does not convert well between PowerPoint, Google slides, etc. A lot of the formatting is lost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
