The user interface for Keynote is by far one of the best presentation softwares I have ever used. It's easy to learn, has many functions that even more expensive layout softwares have like Adobe InDesign, and combines the ease of PPT with the design power of Adobe. That it's only operable on MacOS systems. If it was available to use and install on PCs, it would easily be the only presentation software I use and I would ditch PPT (and possibly Google Slides) forever. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's easy to use and has the full functionality of PowerPoint. It comes included with all Mac computers and can export into PowerPoint, and has a great selection of templates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only downside is once someone opens a file in PowerPoint, some of the design elements might not translate well. It is also not available for Windows users as a standard application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Keynote was quite simple to learn and transfer to from PowerPoint (and I had been quiet resistant to changing). The formatting only changed slightly, and I found that I was able to easily tweak presentations that I had made in PowerPoint before. I also like the professional templates they offer, and it was fairly simple to upload different templates to use that they didn't already offer. I find that their animation settings are also more extensive than what I recalled from PowerPoint, and I was able to do more interesting things in my animation, and had more control over how they performed. Unfortunately the compatibility with other presentation software, although fairly good, wasn't perfect. I did have to go through and change some settings when I translated my presentations to Keynote. The same would be true with Google presentations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Like many Mac programs, Keynote is relatively easy to use and has an intuitive interface. It has been easy for me to learn how to work with this package quickly. Whether a computer expert or not, most people can learn the basics with ease. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some say it is not as versatile as PowerPoint. Conversions are almost always accurate, but not always. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that it is super easy to use and starts with a fresh template. They have good designs that tackle every presentation need I want. Easy to move around items to get them looking good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish it had more chart options. I find PowerPoint easier to use in that facet, but you can still get the job done with creating charts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love the ease of use, and that it is a native Mac program. It is easy to add photos, type, animate, and more. You can easily save presentations as PDFs for future reference, as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There nothing that I really dislike, though I wish it had functionality where multiple people could live edit similar to a google slideshow in Google workspace. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Powerpoint is so well known (and taught in most schools) and therefore is the most compatible with more users.
Keynote is equally excellent in the mac environment. Both will transfer nicely between each other, with a few things to
watch out for, including fonts and graphic compatibility. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Keynote has limited export capabilities, while powerpoint has many options.
Keynote has a wider range of animations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Keynote has more and better pre-designed templates that give you a headstart on creating a striking presentation. Images too. In addition, the color customization is terrific for people who want to try to incorporate official branded pallettes. Adding media is easy, and the integration with other apple devices (like an iPhone) is amazing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There's not much to dislike here. I feel like the Apple product integration needs to be refined and explored more deeply, but this is the premium version of the more common presentation creators out there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I honestly can't think of a stand out feature about keynote. I've tried to use it a few times since it's the default program on a Mac but I always give up and switch to PowerPoint. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Keynote is not intuitive nor does it have the capabilities of Microsoft PowerPoint. Not to mention that it is more difficult to share presentations with non Mac users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love that Keynote has a very modern yet intuitive UI that makes it fun to use. It also offers many nice themes that look great. I like Keynote's themes better than Powerpoint's themes. Keynote also has great features that make it easy to add pictures, tables, graphs, text, etc. It has a lot of great formatting tools as well. It also offers compatability with Microsoft Powerpoint which is very useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike that Keynote has a huge learning curve for Microsoft Powerpoint users. It is not the same layout as Powerpoint, which makes it a little tricky to learn. It takes some time to get used to the Keynote interface after being a Microsoft Powerpoint user. Also, I dislike that because the most common industry standard for presentations is Microsoft Powerpoint, it is hard to find other colleagues also using Keynote.
