more number of shapes, dark mode, apple font Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
complex UI, all of the "presentation" apps sticks to powerpoint UI and keynote stay different maybe it will be complex for a first time user Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love how Keynote is free with the purchase of a Mac. Keynote is designed perfectly with the Mac user in mind. It covers everything you need. I like the features, such as color changes that indicate current operations. Keynote works well with powerpoint so working with other users is more manageable. It is compatible with icould, which is easier for storing presentations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I was not too fond of the scarcity of controls at the toolbar. It is only aviable to apple users so not able to work with other presentation software users. It only allows power point to go one way. Everything in powerpoint also can be done in keynote. The amount of tools is limited Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It doesn't carry the same subjective negatives as PowerPoint, both are presentation software and you can do great presentations in both but Keynote has a certain prestige because you don't associate it with a boring presentation, there is a reason for the phrase "death by PowerPoint" is not "death by Keynote" and it comes to the number of people using the software, as more people use it you are bound to have bad presentations and almost everyone with a computer uses PowerPoint in one way or another. When you are in sales like me you want to use every advantage and starting with a little advantage is always good to close the sale. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love presenting in Keynote but I don't like making presentations in Keynote, it lacks some things you take for granted in PowerPoint, it is simpler and harder to make mistakes by overcomplicating things like many do in PowerPoint but it also limits you if you want to make a specific change that isn't as easily available. It is far more intuitive for presentations, when I'm in the middle of a webex I can easily share all content without messing up a shortcut or quiting the app by Mistake like it has happened to me before in PowerPoint. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is the best at presenting but for creating slides I think PowerPoint is just better, there are just so many little details that are more easily editable on PowerPoint. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that it is user friendly, that it is similar to a lot of platforms but offer unique and different designs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes its too different and if someone is not use to using Apple Products, they can be limited. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like how easy Keynote is to customize but keep concise and aesthetically the same, whether format, font, color etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The icons can be a little deceiving, I wish they'd name them better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Less cluttered than PowerPoint and with all the things I need for the presentations I need to create. I hate doing presentations and presenting them but It's a little better to do them in Keynote compared to PowerPoint. The main advantage is that the animations are just better and more smooth, they look a lot better with less effort.
My main job is Engineering and Developing software I want something fast that doesn't waste my time and Keynote also works with .ppt files so even if a template is created in PowerPoint it's just easier to work in KeyNote. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Creating templates is just horrible, for whenever I need to create a presentation Keynote wins but I had to create a template for some series of presentations our team needed and fine tunning the formatting and design got me frustrated and switches to PowerPoint after a frustrating hour trying to change one shape. Keynote is the best as long as you don't need to put emphasis in little details because those are almost impossible to edit easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
