Keynote is user-friendly and simple to use. I use it to create content for my students and use it in the classroom for presentations. I find it much more simplified than PowerPoint. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes, when converting from a PowerPoint to keynote, fonts, spacing, and links don't always work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I can easily edit templates that I can either find online or create on my own to reuse. Also, the autosaving feature that is built-in is great because I don't have to worry about losing anything. Oh, and also being able to edit, view, and control presentations on all of my Apple devices Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't really have any dislikes for the application that I can think of. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I started using Keynote after seeing that all of the beautiful decks I was seeing were actually being built using Keynote over PPT. Ask a designer and they will all tell you it's superior. It's simpler than Powerpoint, but the simplicity really allows you to focus on a deck that is beautiful, readable and just overall better. The built in templates are super helpful and because Keynote is less widely used, I think people are less likely to know that you used a template to get you started. The biggest limitation is obviously that Keynote is limited to Mac users only. I've also had some difficulties and messiness when coverting from Keynote to Powerpoint (something that inevitably happens if I have to share a doc or give it to someone to present for me. Additionally, the learning curve to start using Keynote if you are only used to PPT can be a bit tough. I definitely had to invest some extra time to get comfortable using it.
Keynote is not as strong as Powerpoint in terms of data visualization. Where Powerpoint connects seamlessly to excel - Keynote definitely limits you. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like how accessible it is for Mac users and how simple it is to create a slideshow. I think Keynote is the easiest presentation tool for any age to learn Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish they had more design options (templates, color schemes, fonts, etc) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love how easily keynote automatically packages itself as a file, so that you don't have to locate all the media assets you've put in it every time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing. I mean that. It works great, and it is a great solution for large format presentations! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The thing I like best about keynote is that it feels like a more modern version of PowerPoint. It is easy to use and the end result always looks good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Right now I use it on my iPad versus a laptop. I feel like some of the feature are missing between the two devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

SIMPLICITY - no instructions needed. Keynote has a great layout, is organized and very self-explanatory. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The iPhone app is pretty average. Lots of room for improvement on that. It does not have a "save as" feature via phone app, but the computer and ipad apps are excellent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Clean simple UI that is intuitive and still feature-rich. The collaboration tools also mean it is good for group projects with a team. The end result of most presentations is often very professional even for new users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It lacks some more complex editing tools found in PowerPoint. Naturally being part of the Apple suite it misses out on some of the more business-oriented cloud and sync options found in Office 365. It also means it's only available on Apple devices making it a no go for our Windows users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
