Keycafe intuitive interface makes it easy to use for a broad audience especially in our case for a hotel associate team. Our property was online and using the system, less than a day after the equipment arrived on property. Customer service and technical support has been on point and attentive. Not only with response to technical issues, but multiple follow-up to ensure product success. The setup cost and ongoing expense are very competitive when compared to other available options and a main reason Keycafe drew our attention when considering a key management system. We initially had issues with network connectivity, but our IT team worked with Keycafe to resolve issue in a couple of hours. Given the size of some our key rings in a hotel environment, the bay size on the key café can be challenging to fit certain department keys. I like everything about the system, but the only thing that I can think off is to upgrade boxes with key door sensors so that if they update, key in or out, ones you close the door, key either checks out, or checks in :) Just a suggestion for future development. KeyCafe allows us to use codes at the console, a phone app, or a website browser to check out keys. This really simplifies things for all of us--we use the KeyCafe box quite frequently. Initial product set up was clean and easy. It is easy to add people to use the tool, change key access, and troubleshoot. Managers such as myself can determine who has keys checked out. One time I had a key showing checked out but it was actually inside the box due to a technician mistake. I was able to get help very quickly to correct the issue and gain access to the key again (under 10 minutes). The help documenation online is well written and easy to follow. This is really minor because it happens with all phone apps out there but I did recently have an issue where I could not check out keys from the phone app and had to use my code instead. The app would spin and spin on the request and never allow checking out of keys. Deleting & reinstalling the app fixed the issue in minutes. Overall this was a minor hiccup. I love that it is easy to use and I love the design. I love the remote open feature if someone needs access to a key and I am not in the building I can send an open request to the key cafe and all the person has to do is press the button on the touch screen and it will open for them. The thing that I like most about the KeyCafe is how easy it has been to get set up and going at my organization. The team at Keycafe did great in helping prepare me for what I needed, it was easy to train others how to use it, and it has worked exactly how we envisioned it. The biggest downside of using the KeyCafe is the potential for things to go wrong. For example, if our internet went out we could no longer get our keys. Luckily, there are features like offline codes in case anything like that were to happen. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Keycafe is ideal and cost-effective for nonprofits with little staffing. It frees up time by requiring each person to manually sign out the keys they sign out, and knowing they are tracked as far as sign-in and sign-out makes sure keys are returned.
