## About Publishizer
Publishizer helps more authors get discovered by readers and publishers. Finding a book publisher is hard. And self-publishing can be expensive. The problem is that 96% of all book proposals get rejected by agents and traditional publishers. We use reader data and pre-order copies to match ideas with credible publishers and provide support and accountability to authors in a process they typically go at alone. Running a pre-order campaign for your book represents not only a substantial way to subsidize the first print run but also significant earnings for the author before landing a deal. All authors who pitch a book idea receive feedback and guidance from our team, gain access to our free book proposal template and campaign builder, and will learn what it takes to bring your book to market and become a highly sought-after published author. We are a team of literary agents and book-loving tech entrepreneurs who have worked with world-class coaches, speakers, entrepreneurs, storytellers, and people doing interesting things. We are passionate about book ideas and helping authors realize their dreams of publishing a book and sharing a message with the world. The publishing industry is a giant machine but lacks care for new and experienced authors. This is where Publishizer is working tirelessly to fill the gap. Join us!

## Publishizer Reviews
  ### 1. A perfectly tined catalyst

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris L. | Self employed, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Publishizer?**

It's not very often that an email can hit the bullseye to a lifelong goal you've been putting off, but that exactly what the team at Publishizer managed to do. My inner skeptic wanted to dismiss the offer to pitch a book idea as some combination of false praise and low brow business tactics, I couldn't have been more wrong.
Lee and Ben both guided me from my pitch, to my campaign, and eventually to a book deal. Part of me had believed a reality that writing a book "someday" would be an acceptable approach. Fortunately, Lee and Ben lit the fuse, extracted me from my comfortable company line of "someday" and turned it into "right away."

**What do you dislike about Publishizer?**

This is tricky because I asked a lot of questions through the process and always had consistent help and dialogue. Maybe if there was more content to outline the journey, but no complaints whatsoever.

**Recommendations to others considering Publishizer:**

The imposter syndrome has stifled more goals than any lack of skill has in history. My number one recommendation with Publishizer is to trust the process and allow the experts to extract you from your comfort zone, add pressure to stimulate a sense of urgency, and to be your capable guides to the goal of becoming a published writer.

**What problems is Publishizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've realized that I can proudly say that I'm an author. Full fledged, without qualifiers, asterisks, or long rationalizations. That's just mind boggling and I couldn't be more appreciative.

  ### 2. A Wonderful Experience

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stu K. | Professor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Publishizer?**

The Publishizer team was incredibly supportive and helpful through the process of taking my book from manuscript to published novel.

**What do you dislike about Publishizer?**

I sincerely have no complaints. Whenever I had any questions or needed additional help during any part of the process, the Publishizer team was readily available, always personable and eager to help.

**Recommendations to others considering Publishizer:**

If you have a book you're interested in getting out to the world, Publishizer is the way to go in this complicated and competitive world.

**What problems is Publishizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I had done a TEDx talk that one of the Publishizer execs saw. He reached out to me about turning the topic into a book and although I had no intention of doing that, I did have a novel in progress. We spoke about, they got on board and through the pre-sale campaign and the Publishizer contacts and connections, the book was published by Harvard Square Editions in December of 2017.

  ### 3. A Wonderful Learning Experience and Partnership

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jared N. | Leadership Development Coach and Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Publishizer?**

Great partnership! Publishizer helped me understand a different way to market my book and partner with organizations to connect my book to my speaking and coaching experience. I was able to bring a different type of value to the book purchasing experience. Additionally, Publishizer opened the door to multiple publishers and I eventually received a publishing deal.

**What do you dislike about Publishizer?**

Nothing. Publishizer took me step be step through the process and was attentive to my questions. They helped ensure it was a great learning experience. They really worked to partner and didn't leave me wondering about any step in the process.

**Recommendations to others considering Publishizer:**

Don't be afraid to ask questions. Publishizer's team was exceptional at answering questions. They often provided even more insights to questions than what I was originally seeking. I never felt alone in the process.

**What problems is Publishizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I learned a new way to market my book and how I can connect to potential readers in different ways. Publishizer helped me connect the book I wrote to additional passions of coaching and speaking.

  ### 4. Publishizer is the Best Way to Get Published

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Neal 🎙 S. | Social Media Author, Maximize Your Social, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Publishizer?**

Publishizer allows you to find readers, service providers, and most importantly publishers for your book.

The platform is flexible enough to handle both your book proposal as well as collect payments for pre-orders on your behalf.

The value in the platform, however, is that there is a built in audience of publishers looking for authors just as investors scan Kickstarter looking for ideas to invest in.

**What do you dislike about Publishizer?**

While Publishizer is the best platform that exists if you want to promote your book before writing or publishing it, posting it to Publishizer does not guarantee success. You still need to work hard to promote your book outside of Publishizer for best results.

**Recommendations to others considering Publishizer:**

I highly recommend you utilize the resourceful support that Publishizer provides to better understand the publishing process and the advice that they might have for you.

You should also utilize the Publishizer community by asking other Publishizer authors about their experiences and collaborating with them.

**What problems is Publishizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I found a publisher with Pubishizer AND successfully sold hundreds of copies of my book before I finished writing it.

  ### 5. More than a platform, an agent, a coach, and a guide in this crazy industry.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew L. | Startup Marketing Coaching, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Publishizer?**

I was at square zero with becoming an author and not only did Publishizer allow me to skip several steps and start having conversations with real publishers, but it also gave me the shot in the butt that I needed to actually get writing and get this done. I can't tell you how many calls they've done with me, how much coaching they've given me and how much of their expertise in this brand new (for me) cutthroat industry that they've shared with me over the months. It's truly priceless for anyone who wants to truly make a career out of authoring books.

**What do you dislike about Publishizer?**

Some of the publishers I spoke to are just self-publishing agencies, and not very helpful.

**What problems is Publishizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

How to find, pitch and work with a top tier publisher, learning the ins and outs of this industry. Providing the platform to raise funds for the book. Coaching on what materials to create for the book etc.

  ### 6. Publishizer equaled the playing field for me to get my foot in the door to quality publishers.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justine E. | Innovation Strategist & Experience Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Publishizer?**

I love the idea of raising money to validate my book idea. It gave me the insight I need to take the leap in dedicating so much time to a large project like this.

**What do you dislike about Publishizer?**

The only downside to using Publizhizer is that people aren't used to the idea of crowdfunding for a book but that's okay. Hopefully as they grow that will change.

**What problems is Publishizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was able to leap through the equity gap I was facing as a 1st time author who has a very bold and unique story to tell.

  ### 7. The Publishizer Team went the extra mile

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel S. | Executive Coach, Lead Facilitator, Conversation Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Publishizer?**

The team at Publishizer helped me get my book off the ground and bring my community together to support it. The feedback from potential publishers was helpful as I developed my book. The team also went the extra mile to introduce me to publishers and make sure I found a deal that I felt happy with.

**What do you dislike about Publishizer?**

In the end, as an author, you still need to build your own platform. I think some people expect Publishizer to help them increase their pre-orders, but this is really on the author.

**Recommendations to others considering Publishizer:**

Start building your community around the ideas in your book before you start with Publishizer! The launch period, leveraging the platform, is your chance to activate that community, like a Kickstarter campaign. Be very clear on what you can reasonably expect from a publisher...many of the publishers on the platform want to split the risk of publishing with you - so expect to spend some of your own money to make your book a reality.

**What problems is Publishizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't think I would have found the deal I got without them. I would have self published and wound up with smaller distribution. Launching a book is a long arc. I learned how to create buzz and structure book launch rewards by using Publishizer's other launches as a template. It helped me think about my book as a conversation, a wave, I was starting and building.

  ### 8. Author Control and Charting Your Own Course

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laura P. | author, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Publishizer?**

Frustrated with trying to get my novel, Anna Incognito, published through my literary agent through traditional means, I turned to Publishizer. I was able to showcase my project with my own vision, pre-sell over 250 copies, and the book was pitched to multiple indie publishers. I had offers from about 10, so I got to choose who I wanted to publish the book. I had much more input on the process, and garnered 80 percent of royalties rather than the standard publishing house norm, which is about 10 percent. The experience was great, and it has launched me into a whole new world: I won several contests and now am adapting the book to be a movie with the help of one of the contest sponsors.

**What do you dislike about Publishizer?**

I was lucky to have published five books previous, both through traditional means and through self-publishing. I had a small following, so pre-selling books wasn't as tough for me as it would be for some writers. I also think that some of the Indie publishers, at least at the time I was doing it, were definitely in it just to make money from the author, so I think those publishers should be eliminated...the idea should not be to be a pipeline from author to publishing 'business' looking to make an author pay for everything.

**Recommendations to others considering Publishizer:**

Be sure you talk to any publishers who might be interested in your work. See if they've read your proposal and/or your entire book. Thoroughly research any of the publishers who contact you to be sure you like their product. Also check to see if they publish books similar to yours...a non-fiction only publisher isn't a good fit for a novel.

**What problems is Publishizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fiction is a tough sell. I found the tightening market left little room for anything that wasn't already done. My agent at the time wanted me to put a murder in a thoroughly non-murder type of book, because that was what was selling at the time. With Publishizer, I was able to chart my own destiny and choose my publisher. It gave me control of the project, and opened it up for me to reap greater rewards. The benefits are that I now have a book in my hand, beautifully edited, with a great cover, and it has attracted attention from many sources, including contests, reviewers, social media people, and the film/TV industry.

  ### 9. Invaluable resource for aspiring authors

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Liesl H. | Entrepreneur, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Publishizer?**

Publishizer is an invaluable resource for aspiring authors trying to navigate the publishing world. Many people have aspirations of publishing their first book and no idea how to do it. The publishing world is extremely competitive and getting noticed is challenging. The majority of aspiring authors never get noticed by major publishing houses. Publishizer provides the advice, guidance and support aspiring authors need to navigate a complex industry. Publishizer provides support on which publishing options are best for you based on your unique goals and aspirations. The cost of their services are extremely minor in comparison to the tremendous value they provide. They provide a staff person who supports your book

**What do you dislike about Publishizer?**

Publishizer is still in the start-up phase and they are operationalizing a lot of their processes and continuously growing their staff. However, this is also a great time to work with them because you get access to people like their founders like Lee Constantine.

**Recommendations to others considering Publishizer:**

My recommendation is to leverage publishizer when you have a large part of your manuscript written. This helps both you and Publishizer work in partnership to find the best publisher that meets your unique needs.

**What problems is Publishizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Publishizer is solving the problem of navigating a complex industry for aspiring writers. They are giving new authors access to publishers who would regularly overlook them.

  ### 10. Two Successful Campaigns and two Traditional Publishing Deals

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** ⭐️ Derek Loudermilk ⭐️ Q. | Book Author, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2021

**What do you like best about Publishizer?**

They helped me pick the right topic, run my campaign, negotiate with publishers - multiple different levels of success

**What do you dislike about Publishizer?**

I would have loved an even bigger advance!

**Recommendations to others considering Publishizer:**

It a great idea for people that want to raise money to write their first book or that want to break into traditional publishing - validating your book with sales is a much faster way than pitching to lots of agent or publishers all you have to do is build momentum for your book project!

**What problems is Publishizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I raised enough with my first campaign to be spend the time to write my book, and it helped my coaching career take off after that book came out.

  ### 11. Publishizer helped me get a publishing deal!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nadia F. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2017

**What do you like best about Publishizer?**

The service I received from Lee and the team was amazing. They guided me in creating my campaign and supported me along the journey, which was really intense!
As a result of using Publishizer I ran a pre-order campaign that raised nearly $10K and I secured a publishing deal with a reputable business book publisher.

**What do you dislike about Publishizer?**

Running a 30 day campaign is not for the feint hearted. You need to be as prepared as possible and ready to rock when you hit go. Be sure to get everything, including your video and book cover set up before you start.

**Recommendations to others considering Publishizer:**

If you're keen to secure a publishing deal, but you don't have any contacts in the world of publishing, I would definitely give it a go!

**What problems is Publishizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've secured a publishing deal for my new book Little Me Big Business

  ### 12. Simplify the publishing process

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maki M. | Coach, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2021

**What do you like best about Publishizer?**

Having multiple publisher's available as potential reviewers of book proposals so you don't have to go hunting.

**What do you dislike about Publishizer?**

This may not be an issue for most people, but being approached by hybrid or self-publishing publishers right out of the gate is a little frustrating. As someone who went through this process to see how far I could go, I wasn't at all interested in the self-publishing option.

**What problems is Publishizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a first-time author, I knew nothing about the world of publishing and less about how to find a publisher. I pushed very hard to pre-sell over 500 copies in 30 days, and ultimately signed with an independent publisher, which was my goal! The contract was signed within weeks of the end of the campaign and my book was published the following year.

  ### 13. Great experience!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris J. | Owner of Q4 Consulting, Inc., Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Publishizer?**

The structure of the proposal & the support of the Publishizer team.

**What do you dislike about Publishizer?**

I think my campaign, which did well, might've done even better if I'd have had a bit more of a ramp. So, perhaps a guidebook on steps would've been helpful.

**Recommendations to others considering Publishizer:**

Publishizer staff was super helpful in my learning curve!

**What problems is Publishizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting my ideas up & out & securing enough capital to start were big bonuses.

And, the benefit of being introduced to various Publishers was incredibly helpful.

  ### 14. Enjoyed the entire process!

**What do you dislike about Publishizer?**

I can't think of anything I disliked about working with this team.

**What problems is Publishizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Publishizer's team is making great strides in demystifying the book writing and publishing process. They are the experts that you will want in your corner if you are new to the book writing and publishing world!

  ### 15. Fantastic! I got published!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joe B. | Author: The Last Qumranian Book 1. Sci/Fi Tools for The Bible, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Publishizer?**

Publishizer gave very specific ways to be successful and a actual person to walk you through every step. There was no mystery. It was so straightforward and then it actually connected writers with publishers...which was impossible when I tried to do it myself.

**What do you dislike about Publishizer?**

Nothing. Not a great review answer, but it’s honest. I have no critique. They laid out a plan, I followed it, and I was published.

**Recommendations to others considering Publishizer:**

Use it!!! I had so many offers from publishers! It was fun to be wanted as a writer! :)

**What problems is Publishizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Get published. Solved. I’m selling books with the truthful dignity that comes from being published vs self-published.

  ### 16. I was fully supported in my search for a publisher, from start to finish.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Greta S. | Writer, author, writing teacher and journal healer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

I liked the motivation and practical support. The company has a wealth of inspiring case studies and they carefully guided me through the pre-order process to ensure that I would succeed.

**What do you dislike about Publishizer?**

I can't think of anything! The whole experience was excellent and I regularly recommend Publishizer to other authors.

**What problems is Publishizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was approached by Publishizer in 2018 when I was looking for a publisher for my second book. We worked together to shorten my proposal, and I made a promotional video. With their help and guidance, I secured more than 250 pre-orders and landed an excellent publisher.

  ### 17. I GOT A GREAT BOOK DEAL

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kim C. | Business Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Publishizer?**

My favorite part of this experience was the level of exposure to publishers that I could have never reached on my own.

**What do you dislike about Publishizer?**

I was disappointed by the number of publishers who approached me with offers that included a large investment of my own money.

**What problems is Publishizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am happy to report that I secured an excellent book deal with a publisher I absolutely love working with. As a result of my relationship with my editor and this publishing company, we have been able to get my book out to people around the world.

  ### 18. A Way to Build Resonance around Your Book

**Reviewed by:** Ginny W. | Opinion Columnist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Publishizer?**

Publishizer has a clear formula for showing and sharing your book project on a platform that everyone you know and publishers you'd like to know can find.

**What do you dislike about Publishizer?**

Trying to run a pre-order campaign at the same time I was writing the book.

**What problems is Publishizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding a good publisher without going through an agent.

  ### 19. This was a great experience!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Writing and Editing | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2021

**What do you like best about Publishizer?**

Having a guide and agent alongside the adventure of launching a campaign was everything! The steps were clear , challenging and rewarding .

**What do you dislike about Publishizer?**

It’s not really a downside, but you do have to fulfill your order at the end , no matter if you got a publisher’s deal or not.

**Recommendations to others considering Publishizer:**

It is perfect for a new author

**What problems is Publishizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I wrote my book a few years ago and felt at a loss on the next step to get it published. I didn’t want to self publish again. I’m so happy I went with Publishizer ! I now have a publisher and can keep moving forward on my project to share mindfulness stories and techniques between parents and their children.

  ### 20. Great Way To Get A Publisher

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Diane H. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Publishizer?**

They help you set up your book campaign so it is super easy. And they put your book in front of publishers throughout your campaign.

**What do you dislike about Publishizer?**

some of the publishers were really folks who help people self publish which isn't something I was interested in doing.

**What problems is Publishizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I not only gained a publisher but also a marketing company that has been helping me market the book and my business.

  ### 21. The business that landed me a book deal

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dave N. | Business Owner and Health Professional, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Publishizer?**

Their communication, professionalism whilst being personable and systems.

**What do you dislike about Publishizer?**

Writing a book proposal and finding a publisher is a daunting task, sometimes being in different time zones made it difficult to get answers on the spot but they were never far behind.

**What problems is Publishizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They helped me land me a book deal with an international publisher.

  ### 22. Found a Publisher!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Publishizer?**

I was able to find a fantastic publisher for my book who exceeded my expectations.

**What do you dislike about Publishizer?**

I would prefer that Publishizer hold the pre-order payments in escrow until a book is printed to protect those who buy the books in case something doesn't work out. This may be more of a theoretical problem than a real one.

**What problems is Publishizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Saved time finding a publisher. I have received strong support to publish my book.

  ### 23. Highly recommended

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melissa S. | Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2017

**What do you like best about Publishizer?**

A big shoutout to Guy and Lee of Publishizer for helping me navigate a successful campaign - they were always available for questions and direction, bringing me into their family of authors and offering a supportive community to get the most out of the campaign. When it came time to choose a publisher, they offered their expertise and insight and I'm extremely happy with the way everything was handled. Through their help and advice I was able to raise over $15,000 for my book and win a MAPS-sponsored literature contest!

**What do you dislike about Publishizer?**

They take a chunk of your earnings, of course, but then again, it wouldn't have been possible at all without them!

**What problems is Publishizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting my book out there for publishing! It's now been picked up by an independent publisher and has raised quite a bit of money already =]

  ### 24. Great platform for first time writers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason R. | Program Manager, Marketing Communications, Machinery, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2017

**What do you like best about Publishizer?**

Lee and the team were great to work with but the platform also encourages you to do what a lot of writers aren't great at, which is selling themselves.

**What do you dislike about Publishizer?**

Clearer guidelines around what traditional publishers are looking for in new authors.

**Recommendations to others considering Publishizer:**

Be prepared to work for yourself - Publishizer is a great platform but doesn't do the selling for you.

**What problems is Publishizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Raising capital for marketing, professional art and printing.

  ### 25. If you have a book in mind, or already on paper, and want to create a buzz of support before you la

I highly recommend you launch your book with Publishizer. I did and I landed a sweet deal with my publisher and am preparing to launch the book soon! Thanks, Publishizer!

**What do you dislike about Publishizer?**

Nothing. Publishizer was great! Maybe a bit more organization.

**Recommendations to others considering Publishizer:**

Ask good questions!

**What problems is Publishizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Publishizer helped me launch my book before it was finished AND they helped connect me with a publisher.

  ### 26. Excellent Service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tendayi V. | Managing Partner, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2017

**What do you like best about Publishizer?**

The platform is an excellent way for first time writers to get their brand out. We were able to get a good group of early adopters for our book. This then helped us get the book out to a greater audience later.

**What do you dislike about Publishizer?**

Not much. I will the revenue share was a little different but it is fair overall.

**What problems is Publishizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For us it was about testing our book idea and finding a publisher.

  ### 27. Love the Publishizer Platform!
