What do you like best about Keepit?

When we were looking into solutions for the back-up of our Microsoft365 tenant, Keepit came out on top. All the nescessary features such as single-item-restore for mailboxitems and single sign-on are present. More advanced features such as restoring a complete Team or Sharepoint site work better than in products of other vendors which often mess up the lay-outs when restoring. As the solution is cloud based and the price per seat is very reasonable, the total cost of ownership is lower than the compatitors we examined.

Besides that, Keepit has some nice features that other back-up applications don't have. P.e. back-up operators can create a link to a small portion of the back-up (p.e. a specific folder in a users OneDrive) so endusers can locate missing files themselves. This link can be password protected and have a limited lifetime. Also it is possible to create a limited lifetime account for an auditor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Keepit?

There are two drawbacks when using Keepit. The application can only send reports to emailadresses of Keepit users. So it is, security-wise, impracticle to send reports to distributiongroups or shared mailboxes.

The other is more a nuisance than an issue: usernames are case sensitive so when using Single Sign-on, the usernames must match exactly what is entered in the idp and users must also use the correct case when logging-in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Keepit?

KeepIT creates several worryfree daily restore points of your Office 365 assets, that can be preserved for many years.

You can either restore items yourself, or send secured links to the endusers so they can restore items without your help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Keepit?

Since I do not use the website on a daily basis, sometimes I have to search for how to restore items from a mailbox.

Downloading one or more mail messages can only be done in .eml format. Not in pst.

If you have many mail items, eml is harder to import to Outlook. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Things I didn't like until recently are now on the roadmap and should be improved soon - e.g. the ability to download selected items from Outlook as a PST (until now it was as individual messages in a ZIP). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Keepit?

The backup solution works without much attention from our side. It simply just delivers what it promises. I also love that it is a cloud-to-cloud solution,- no equipment is needed inhouse. Support is very competent and professional; they know their stuff. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Keepit?

Keepit is not good at promoting themselves or telling about new stuff, features and the like. We hear nothing at long periods, and this has been a problem from the beginning 5 years ago. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Keepit?

Everything is indexed, so search goes really fast. Easy to switch between snapshots. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Keepit?

Some bugs. Log in with single sign on works ok, but i need to remove my password before i can login with sso.

If i restore and the mail comes as a link, i have to log in with password, or else it fails.

The best thing about Keepit is its simplicity. The solution is swift to deploy and extremely straightforward to manage. It doesn't require maintenance or constant monitoring, it is a deploy-and-forget solution Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I can't say there is a Keepit feature that I dislike. The only feature that is missing, and I consider it to be helpful, is the ability to download the mailbox in a pst format instead of a zip file containing the eml files. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Keepit?

Wanted an off site back up solution for mainly our user data, which is where we started. We've since grewn and expanded with features for Teams-data and e-mail. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Keepit?

Well, havent actually found any drawbacks so far. Maybe to name something, when using Teams back up, there pops up a user called "Backup service" or whatever you decide to name it, in every Team. Could be confusing to an extent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
