What do you like best about Kasm Workspaces?

I like that Kasm offers a wide variety of easily customizable base images out-of-the-box (desktops, browsers, apps, etc.) and that it can be hosted entirely on-premise using modern deployment tools like Docker. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kasm Workspaces?

While Kasm's core images and the KasmVNC technology are open-source, the heart of Kasm - meaning the server stack - is not. This means that right now, the only people who can inspect the central part of the product for security vulnerabilities would be third-party security researchers that are hired for a one-time audit. If hosting Kasm on-premise isn't feasible for your organization, the SaaS version of Kasm Workspaces could be a suitable alternative. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Kasm Workspaces?

Kasm is just quite amazing. I haven't seen any other software stream a docker container to your browser! I am just blown away at how amazing Kasm is. You can create your own images, virtually customize every aspect about Kasm and more. Kasm really helps me malware test, click on suspicious links without putting my PC in jeopardy. At the time of writing the Ubuntu version was 18.04 and for compliance and software build reasons Ubuntu 20.04 would be a better desktop. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Kasm isn't for everyone, if your looking for Windows based desktop this isn't for you, if your looking to provide an application as a service type platfor with say MS Teams, Zoom, Chrome or a myriad of other well know apps then totally take a look. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

combined with a Chrome extension, I can safely open suspicious URLs in a Kasm container isolated from my desktop OS, I use it as a disposable working environment for testing software and share it with my Team.

another use: i use it as a remote VPN.
