Their analytics tools could be better; there is not an option to export data to Excel files directly from their website (although the support team is always ready to send when requested) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Karat?

Karat allows our engineers to have a little more time on their calendars by not having to administer assessments themselves. They also have detailed feedback from Karat reps to make the most informed decision about their candidates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Karat?

There is nothing I particularly "dislike" about Karat, however I will say the calibration process in the beginning with a new assessment can feel a bit daunting. It is clear why it is necessary though and ends up making for better outcomes in the end. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Karat?

What do you dislike about Karat?

This is part of our candidate experience, so it is very frustrating to have an interviewer who is more concerned about making a few hundred dollars than actually helping a company move the needle on hiring. It's a transaction for them.

Also, at first, they rejected everyone...we are a small startup and had candidates from Amazon, Twitter, Shopify, etc...all failing.

I had to write to Karat multiple times because candidates were complaining about how awful their interviews are.

Save money, train your team up on doing live coding assessments and do not use Karat. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We have some roles that Karat does not have interviewers or interviews prepared to do. We work with Karat to develop these as-needed, but it is a lot of work for a specialized role. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

- Questions are built to be more about speed vs. optimization

- Not the best-tailored candidate experience (using third-party vs in-house interviewing)
