IT Glue excels in its robust documentation capabilities and user-friendly interface. Its powerful search function and seamless integrations streamline IT operations, making it an indispensable tool for efficiency and productivity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While IT Glue offers robust features, it has a steep learning curve that can be challenging for new users. Additionally, the cost might be prohibitive for smaller organizations, making it less accessible for all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The face that you can map and link documents, contacts, passwords, etc. It really makes it easy to find what you are looking for to assist customers with their infrastructure. You can build documents inside of IT Glue using their own internal document builder or upload PDF's or other documents/files. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Downsides of using IT Glue is the initial setup of all of the information. You're going in with a blank slate, and depending on your support needs, can take a significant amount of time to build it how you like. I also, personally, don't like the file name editor. Having to click the check box when complete is kind of annoying. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I appreciate I.T. Glue's depth. The product offers its users and operators a lot of tools to work with as an internal reference document repository. I use it on the daily and it is incredibly dependable. It has never gone offline for me.
I love the interface. The dark mode is by far the most accommodating. There are some small details I really like such as adding a picture to our internal clients so they can be better differentiated at a glance.
The 2 factor authentication is aggressive and that's what I want out of an app that holds my I.T. data.
This is a product I would recommend to any of my peers in a heartbeat. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The human element. Apparently, one of the biggest caveats of IT Glue is the people working inside of it. If someone forgets to change a password or does not update documentation, it renders the product useless.
Furthermore, its convoluted interface can be daunting for someone not in the I.T. field, hence I would assume the "IT" inside IT Glue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the flexibility, responsiveness, and granularity that ITGlue offers. It pretty much has all the information that I need to do my job effectively, and without ITGlue I would not be able to function and learn as a technician! It makes it extremely easy to look for specific configuration items, passwords, and documents on the fly. I also really like that it has the ability to import documents from a variety of different sources, as well as imbed download links directly in passwords and documents. Being able to see published version history and edit trails for documents is fantastic! I also really like the full implementation and integration it has with other Kaseya products, like Datto RMM and AutoTask PSA. It is fantastic for every day, constant use by a team of 12+ people. The mobile app could use some improvement and I dont like how the app signs me out after moving off of it for less than (what seems like) 5 mins. I also dont like how I can't edit documents in the mobile app, nor can I view specific categories of flexible assets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As a small managed service provider, documentation is the lifeblood of our business. Having up-to-date and accurate documentation on all our clients' IT environments is critical for delivering excellent service and support. That's why we are fanatical about IT Glue.
IT Glue has been a game-changer for our documentation processes. Its robust yet flexible platform allows us to fully customize how we document information to fit our specific needs and workflow. From network diagrams to software inventories to procedure documentation, we can tailor IT Glue to capture all the details in an organized and consistent way.
One of the biggest selling points for us is IT Glue's integration capabilities. IT Glue's bi-directional sync keeps our documentation automatically updated with data from disparate systems. This tight integration saves us countless hours that would otherwise be spent manually duplicating information across platforms.
With IT Glue, our entire team always has access to the latest client information no matter where they are working from. The centralized and secure knowledge base ensures we are all working from the same, accurate set of documentation. This consistency pays huge dividends in our support processes and overall client satisfaction.
While there is an upfront investment of time with IT Glue, the time savings and operational efficiencies more than justify the cost, especially for an MSP like us that lives and breathes documentation. If you are looking for a powerful and customizable documentation solution, IT Glue should be at the top of your list. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some options that are missing from IT Glue are the ability to securely share passwords, and the ability to export documentation into an editable format. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

By far one of the best additions to our tool stack. We have used IT glue for years and now with the most recent updates to the integrations with the whole Kaseya stack, it's become an absolute no-brainer. It was a great easy-to-use tool when we first purchased it, and Kaseya doubled down on making it better and better. It would be one of the top tools used every single day. There are very few downsides to using IT glue, but if I had to give one, I would say that IT Glue offers so much freedom that it can be difficult to ensure people are documenting passwords in a way that keeps it the least priviledged access. I would love a way to audit this somehow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

IT Glue password management, alongside TOTP functionality has been fundamental in managing and accessing our clients' accounts. Our company uses IT Glue for effectively end to end KB management for our clients, and is something almost all our staff use on a daily basis. IT Glue is snappy and allows for flexible options to include as much info as we need. Integration in Datto RMM web remote is also highly convenient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The knowledgebase management does often feel unintuitive - I understand IT Glue offers flexibility to empower administrators to create forms according to their needs, however it would be very helpful if there were templates for commonly documented items or infrastructure types, and means to effectively represent info to the users of IT Glue. For example, instead of text-based forms, have a template that is specifically geared towards, for example, a physical server - Wherein one could include a picture that appears at the top, with side by side text info in a concise info block.
One major thing that I feel is lacking is the ability to properly convey some subtle details and notes alongside some of the info.
It would also be greatly beneficial for there to be just in time access to certain credentials, rather than perpetual access. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The biggest value we have gotten out of IT Glue is gathering all of our documentation, vendor contacts, assets and passwords into one platform. We no longer have to scour multiple network share folders to find support documentation on a particular application or send out a message to the team about who has the contact info for XYZ vendor. We have also seen a reduction in our budget spending by eliminating the need for a separate asset management tool, password vault and knowledge base platform. All 3 of those functions have now been consolidated into IT Glue for one go-to location for all of this information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Importing existing data into IT Glue has been the most challenging piece in two ways. Because it is cloud based, the amount of time it takes to upload data by csv for example can vary greatly depending on where your upload lands in their "queue". I have had a single csv with 2 total lines of password data take upwards of 20 minutes to get the confirmation that it has been uploaded but then a second csv with 50+ lines upload within seconds.
There hasn't been a way to import passwords directly into a user's personal password vault. We first have to upload them to the shared password root folder and the user has to modify them to be visible to only themselves. This leaves their personal data to be briefly open to anyone with access to the password module to click on those entries until they are moved to their private folder. Integrates well with the RMM my employer uses. Good features include an easy to use interface, password manager extension for browser, automated password rotation, checklists among others. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The bright flash that happens when switching to another page. Maybe it's just me but that alone is enough for me to stop using this product, if my employer wasn't using it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Very to-the-point in design and functionality. Easy to navigate and easy to manage passwords. Accessing passwords frequently and quickly from multiple clients is very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The mobile App logs you out if the phone auto-locks, or you minimize the app for more than a few seconds, making ease-of-use difficult. When editing passwords in the web version, modern browsers like Edge or Chrome will sometimes populate editable fields with saved, unrelated, passwords (if you don't realize this before saving, existing information can be overwritten by accident).
