IT Glue provides centralized access to documentation, password management with support for MFA, revision history, asset management, and controls to maintain separation of access where needed. This allows our organization to have multiple departments keep their SOPs and KB information in one place, accessible to the whole company, making it easier to distribute where and when needed. The additional integrations and ability to use the API to allow for further integrations are also great benefits. Having used IT Glue for several years, when I changed companies, it was one of the first recommendations I made, and was very quickly adopted by the company after they were shown the simplicity of management, ease of use, and long-term benefits that IT Glue provides. Moving companies is NOT an easy task. A 'cross-tenant migration' requires downtime, which can be an issue when you need access to your data on-demand. If the source company can export data (they can), the destination company should be able to import that data wholesale rather than in bits and pieces, which then requires rebuilding any linking between individual resources (passwords linked to configurations linked to documentation, for example). It has a pretty well-thought-out system for item documentation, and where the fringe areas are it remains simple enough to not have to make too many concessions for it. The documents interface is especially good in this regard, allowing you to easily and quickly dump all the info you have on something you're documenting and then worrying about it later, whereas other solutions we tried were very rigid in their "if you dont fill out everything now we wont save this item", ITGlue is very open in its minimum-entry level for items you're documenting. It's great when you're at a client and have a ton of things to grab but are being pulled left and right you can just dump things in a document and then put them in their sections later. Some aspects feel odd at times, like the main body of a configuration having the default gateway as a primary-listed item, but then the actual IP of the configuration is way down the page. I'd rather have a primary IP entry and leave it at that, since I feel most devices are going to have a primary interface.
The phone app also can be frustrating, as it logs you out quickly, and there are times you have to click multiple times to access a password in an entry. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
How it works like my own private Google and how it makes documentation simple. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Bulk editing doesn't work for every asset type - so that could be better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Makes it easy for us to keep track of all our documentation along clients. This means that others are actually likely to follow suit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
For non-flexible assets, customization is pretty much non-existent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I would like autopopulation for some of the inventory items. This is solved using network glue, but it is an additional expense. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We use IT Glue for all of our MSP documentation needs. It's an easy to access central location that helps to store and organize these documents effectively. This leads to a significant time savings for members of my team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are features within IT Glue that are not a perfect fit for how we are setup. While I can see the value these may add for some, they create obstacles that we need to end up working around in order to find the best way to take advantage of these items Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is a great place to keep all passwords and documents in one place Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There have been many times in the past where the service would go down but it seems like it has been better recently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
