## Intuit QuickBooks Reviews
  ### 1. Makes work so much easier!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jam d. | Senior Associate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Intuit QuickBooks?**

What I like best about Intuit QuickBooks is its very user-friendly interface and helpful features, which simplify accounting for small businesses. It gives you a great look on invoicing, expense tracking, and tax calculations, making financial management in lesser time and very efficient matter.

**What do you dislike about Intuit QuickBooks?**

One thing I can see is the pricing of it. Not all small businesses can manage to pay the fees especially if they will be needing add ons on it.

**What problems is Intuit QuickBooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves so much problem as everything is already ready in Quickbooks. I can see and review the Profit & Loss as well as Balance Sheet's figures easily. It simplifies the work especially for bookkeeping and tax as well as generating reports.

  ### 2. Review on intuit quickbooks

Intuit is helpful to me most specially as a bookkeeper like me because it is a friendly user software. It ease your job to record transactions and can generate the report easily

**What problems is Intuit QuickBooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It can detect errors and deletion of transactions which help me identify easily

  ### 3. Unbelievable 67% Price Hike from QuickBooks!

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexandru T. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Intuit QuickBooks?**

Is doing the job, kipping my accounting pretty much easy.

**What do you dislike about Intuit QuickBooks?**

As a "valuable" customer of QuickBooks for years, I’m truly shocked and frustrated by the recent 67% price increase for QuickBooks Desktop. This is an absurd hike with no clear improvements to justify it.

What’s worse is that QuickBooks is essentially forcing customers like myself to migrate to their cloud solution, QuickBooks Online, which I absolutely do not want. Why would I want to put my financial data in someone else's hands? What happens when they increase the price of the cloud solution unreasonably? You’ll be stuck with no way out. They will have all the power, and we will have no choice but to accept their terms.

It’s incredibly disappointing to be treated this way after years of loyalty. I feel like I’m being pushed into a corner, and I’m not happy about it at all.

#PriceHike #QuickBooks #UnfairPricing #ForcedMigration #CustomerLoyalty #QuickBooksOnline

The only benefit I saw was the ability to import my data into TurboTax.

**What do you like best about Intuit QuickBooks?**

The program is very clear in its layout and design. There are many features that we have implemented over the years.

There is a steep learning curve. But once you get the gist of things, the program is very easy to use.

**What problems is Intuit QuickBooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a small business that has grown over the years by fourfold. Quickbooks has allowed us to use the same program throughout this time. Initially our accountant helped us set it up, but once we were up and running the online help was very useful to figure out any questions.

**What do you like best about Intuit QuickBooks?**

I do appreciate all of the different transaction categories available to organize transaction input. It can be daunting at times trying to categorize business expenses but Quickbooks has a forum where you can connect with tax experts to help with this. There is also a mobile app so recording transactions on the go is easy. You also get a free federal tax filing each year when you use the Quickbooks and Turbo Tax programs together.

**What do you dislike about Intuit QuickBooks?**

Honestly, their multiple price increases within the past two years has had me considering moving away from the platform and finding a less costly alternative. It was $12 per month when I first subscribed and now it's $30 per month.

**What problems is Intuit QuickBooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a small business owner who is still in the growing pains sage, I cannot commit to hiring a tax professional at this time. ### 35. It's a business standard for a reason

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Susan B. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2024

**What do you like best about Intuit QuickBooks?**

It has all of the accounting nuts and bolts built in, so that I don't need to know the rules. I've never understood how to use the debit and credit columns, and with QuickBooks, I never needed to know that. As a non-accountant sole practitioner, I have been able to successfully create profit and loss statements for my CPA every year for the last twenty-five years. It's been QuickBooks every single year, with an easy annual implementation each time I updated. I've never even considered another accounting software. I use it to record every receipt and every piece of income I've had in my business.

**What do you dislike about Intuit QuickBooks?**

There have been too many features for my tiny business, and I feel I paid too much for all of those beneifts like Payroll which I never needed as a one-woman shop. I will say, when I have needed customer support, it has gotten more difficult to get in recent years.

**What problems is Intuit QuickBooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

QuickBooks is the only thing that has made it possible for me to be able to file my taxes every years. I'm a very small shop, and I can't afford full-time bookkeeping help, so QuickBooks has been my infallible accounting partner, keeping me out of IRS jail. I am very glad to have found the stripped down version of QuickBooks in QuickBooks SE, for my self-employed situation.

**What do you like best about Intuit QuickBooks?**

It does what it says it will do, it handles my business accounting and payroll and when it works, it works well. It is seen as a leading provider, so there is a comfort level out there.
When I started using it, there were multiple changes to the system, and the help couldn't keep up. Now it feels more stable and the help is more relevant.
Easy to link to your bank accounts, which saves a lot of time, and it is gaining more integrations, such as with government systems for payroll tax.
Easy to generate reports.

**What do you dislike about Intuit QuickBooks?**

It still feels clunky and not user friendly. It feels complicated, and you have to have a level of accounting knowledge to use it. Yet accountants dont seem to rate it, so its more technical than say freshbooks, but not technical enough.

Other newer solutions, such as wave and sage seem more intuitive, but I find the integration and history is a major barrier to exit.

**What problems is Intuit QuickBooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Single place for handling all book keeping, invoicing, accounting and payroll.

**What do you like best about Intuit QuickBooks?**

Easy to setup, cost is also manageable with lots of integrations.

**What do you dislike about Intuit QuickBooks?**

There seems to be a downside to using Quickbooks global, some features only for certain markets, that doesnt mean they are not needed by other countries.

**What problems is Intuit QuickBooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Accurate record keeping in cloud

  ### 38. One of the best solutions for Accounting and invoicing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Intuit QuickBooks?**

1. Covers all aspects of accounting including Gift cards, invoices and voiding invoices. Then it also allows to create refund transactions and ledger entries.
2. Pretty much covers everything and then its easy to implement. You can implement in just few days without much trouble.
3. Support of syncing the transactions with web applications is superb.

**What do you dislike about Intuit QuickBooks?**

Little tough to find correct transaction types for our requirement , like transactions needed for gift card or voiding a transaction.

**What problems is Intuit QuickBooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Earlier we were managing accounting related stuff on our web application and now we have made that sync with quickbooks, so now that really helps in transparency in invoices and then also easy to accept payments also based on those invoices.

  ### 39. Works well, just not always how you want

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott H. | Network Administrator, Mental Health Care, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Intuit QuickBooks?**

From the IT side of things in the non-profit sector I like that it has a version just for non-profits. This makes it capable of handling donations and grants. The Ease of implementation is very helpful. Installation is simple. The Ease of Integration is also useful when needing to connect to third pary software like versacheck or ProcureDesk.

**What do you dislike about Intuit QuickBooks?**

I do not like that the on-premesis solution has difficulty communicating over VPN. It will work but is glitchy and requires lots of support when in multi-user mode. I do not like that the licensing is so strict because it makes employee turnover a bit cumbersome.

**What problems is Intuit QuickBooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping track of invoices and payables is important for any business. Quickbooks is one of the only software I have needed to manage for accounting purposes. For that reason I could not give any sort of comparisson against others but it works well for managing payables and payroll

  ### 40. Simple and efficient majority of the time.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melissa C. | Program Director, Non-Profit Organization Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Intuit QuickBooks?**

I like QuickBooks for the simplicity and ease of using it. They offer mobile versions, apps and desktop access. You can vie wyour paystiubs and PTO with ease. It is a nice and digestible layout which is appreciated. I also like how the support always seems readily available in the event you need assistance. I am both an administrator and user of Intuit and I like the ease of being able to integrate it into our system and processes. It was very easy to implement and set up new employees. It is used frequently and used by all the stafft to monitor time off, paychecks, etc.

**What do you dislike about Intuit QuickBooks?**

Occassionaly we have an issue with a staff member being unable to see their PTO or get a pop up that our "organization" no longer uses QuickBooks, which was an internal error on their end. This has happened a few times and they tell us to contact our accountant who refers us back to QuickBooks which leaves you in a rigamorale for a while. It always ends up being resolved, but it is never clear where the issue was to make sure its rectified for the future.

**What problems is Intuit QuickBooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to track everyones PTO with Intuit easily and simply. This means I do not have to monitor or manage it often, it is basically a set it and forget it. We use QuickBooks for all our accounting needs as well in addition to employee payroll and PTO. It makes it a simple experience whether we work remotely or in person.

**What do you like best about Intuit QuickBooks?**

The online version is a huge upgrade from the desktop software. Much more intuitive and organized. With integrated banking and payments it really saves me a lot of man hours.

**What do you dislike about Intuit QuickBooks?**

There are some features that really require knowledge of accounting. It's probably good to have these safety rails, but can sometimes slow me down. The takeaway is that even though I am comfortable with 90% of the features and functionality of the product, I still need an accountant to work through some issues.

**What problems is Intuit QuickBooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

integrated payments and banking are a vaulable time saver to me. Sending invoices via email, having them paid via the link and Quickbooks automatically allocting to the correct invoice in real time saves me hours in a week. Plus automatice reminders and reports for chasing unpaid debt has also been a gamechanger for my small company.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ancel K. | Business Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Intuit QuickBooks?**

While some systems are designed for particular sectors, Quickbooks is a terrific tool for any organization that deals with accounts payable and accounts receivable. Setting up and using it is simple. You can import bank transactions and establish criteria for which accounts should have encrypted transactions. The online cost is affordable and does not need a lengthy commitment. We were able to better grasp our financial condition and be ready for our first audit by using Quickbooks to get started with our accounting.

**What do you dislike about Intuit QuickBooks?**

The main drawback of QuickBooks, and the feature I detest the most, is that because to its extensive accounting functionality and attention to detail, it is very simple to make mistakes that are irreversible. It takes up a lot of storage space, so we only use it on machines with bigger hard drives, Its recent merger with Intuit caused some sluggishness, but it immediately went away. I occasionally have issues integrating some of the bank feed capabilities with some of the smaller local banks that my firm utilizes, but I know that's a problem with the bank, not Intuit QuickBooks.

**What problems is Intuit QuickBooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The challenge of transferring accounting data to a central system, where modifications may be made and forwarded to financial statements, is being tackled by Intuit QuickBooks. really helpful for launching companies. To reduce duplicate entries in Intuit QuickBooks and a different project management platform, I like that Intuit QuickBooks can link with other platforms. It eliminates the requirement for a general ledger system, which was used to keep track of invoices, accounting records, and cash management. It also eliminates the need to save supplier and customer addresses along with other data.

  ### 46. Intuit Quickbooks improves accounting is easy and convenient to use.

**What do you like best about Intuit QuickBooks?**

I can rapidly discover everything related to my projects in multiple tabs, and it's simple to filter and go down to obtain the precise results I'm searching for. The live accounting function is simple to use, especially for beginners in accounting. Intuit QuickBooks makes accounting simple; a person who is unfamiliar with it can also quickly learn how to use it. All features are simple to use when compared to other accounting software on the market.

**What do you dislike about Intuit QuickBooks?**

Intuit QuickBooks has less functionality than Desktop QuickBooks since we have numerous shortcuts to handle accounting effectively in the desktop version. From my perspective, it is the expense of live accounting, which is not long-term viable for small enterprises.

**What problems is Intuit QuickBooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can update information about my employees past and present as well as costs for my projects as they develop, so I can make adjustments along the way, with multiple reports. Report in the program help me, Quickbooks Live Accounting helps me get started by cleaning up accounts and getting them to the point where everything makes sense, Intuit QuickBooks makes it easy for organizations to maintain their records, business owners no longer have to worry about how to maintain all data and submit annual reports, in contrast, all data is properly preserved in Intuit QuickBooks.

I use QuickBooks daily for my own business and I provide help to other small business owners that need help using the software. I find that when we have issues, it is difficult to get a real answer from customer service. I typically utilize help from Google search results and my own experience to fix problems. I think QuickBooks customer service is great for folks who may need simple help.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

What I admire most about Intuit QuickBooks is its remarkable user-friendliness. This software seamlessly simplifies complex financial tasks, making them accessible to users with varying levels of accounting expertise. It offers a delightful and intuitive user interface that streamlines financial management processes, enabling individuals and businesses to stay organized and informed with ease. QuickBooks also boasts an extensive array of features that cater to diverse financial needs, which is incredibly valuable. The software's commitment to user convenience truly stands out and sets it apart from others in the field.

**What do you dislike about Intuit QuickBooks?**

One aspect I find less favorable about Intuit QuickBooks is its pricing structure. While it undoubtedly provides a robust set of features and functionalities, the cost of certain subscription plans may be a bit steep for smaller businesses or individuals with limited budgets. Additionally, the pricing can become complex when factoring in add-ons and payroll services, potentially leading to unexpected expenses.

Another minor inconvenience is the occasional need for software updates, which can interrupt workflow if not planned for in advance. However, I understand that updates are essential for maintaining the software's performance and security.

Overall, while I have some reservations about the cost and occasional updates, the benefits of using Intuit QuickBooks far outweigh these concerns, making it an excellent choice for financial management.

**What problems is Intuit QuickBooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Intuit QuickBooks solves various financial management challenges by offering efficient organization, accurate record-keeping, streamlined invoicing, expense management, tax compliance, and insightful reporting. These solutions benefit me by saving time, reducing errors, and enabling informed financial decisions, ultimately enhancing both personal and business finances.

**What do you like best about Intuit QuickBooks?**

I love the ease of being able to have others access the program to do the book keeping for me when I do not have the time. I also would take many hours inputing inventory and keeping up with numbers which would take more of my time that I consider precious. Before using Quickbooks i would have numbers that didnt make sense and would cost me more time going over past errors. Quickbooks has taken all that stress away and given me more time to focus on my buisness.

**What do you dislike about Intuit QuickBooks?**

integrating some programs tool a little work but it was pretty simple once i figured it out ( might be a user issue more then the program)

Helping me keep better track of inventory and giving me more time to focus on running a business

**What do you dislike about Intuit QuickBooks?**

The UI UX is a bit complex compared to a tool like WaveApps. So you should know your accounting basics to use the application correctly. For a small business owner who does not have accounting knowledge, it could be challenging.
Also, there were some limitations with multi-currency support
