I love the ease of re-ordering items, and how I can have my groceries hand picked, bought and delivered to my door without having to leave my home. Being self employed and a mother of 2 toddlers, this service has been the best hands down! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Besides the monthly service fee, it also costs per item. So a 40 item grocery order, with tip and tax typically costs about $30 more than if I would have shopped myself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ease of the entire process. I used this mainly in a small town where I didn't have a car, this gave me the ease of having someone else shop for me when it was difficult for myself Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The thing I dislike is that the prices at time see higher, and the options for substitutions at time aren't something id consider getting. But now they have a feature when they don't substitute so I usually use that Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love that I can do pick up for free at my local grocery store. I can easily chat with the shopper about replacements and I can track when my shopping is being done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the pickup time or delivery time is very delayed. Also depending on the shopper the quality is not a good sometimes shoppers will make mistakes or will
Not pick up the products listed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Grocery delivery service itself. Cheaper than spending gas on San Francisco. 2 week free Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
the interface is buggy sometimes. Steep delivery fee upon trial period. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Instacart gives the possibility to shop your groceries through their app. This is especially nice when you get caught up by work and do not have time to go to the supermarket in person after working hours. Have used it a few times for small to medium sized shopping. It won't replace my weekly household shopping, but it is nice to know that you can get some important stuff in a matter of no time with Instacart. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the delivery time can take longer than usual. Would be great if they could increase their capacity. It is also quite difficult to get in contact with their customer service. I once had wrong items delivered and it was a long process to get things sorted out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Do not have to leave house to get groceries, if only they delivered... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Made my initial Instacart order at Fresh Thyme, Cranberry Twp., PA, and it was delivered within a couple of days, so I FOOLISHLY allowed $9.99 to be debited from my credit card to purchase a month of their "Free delivery" of >$35 orders service. Surprisingly, the prices were the regular off the shelf and sale prices.
However, unfortunately, my next Instacart order was at Aldi, Wexford, PA. It was entered on the Instacart website on or about 3/30/20. At that time, even though I kept checking back three or four times a day, it was not until about five days later on 4/4 that I could get any possible delivery date or time. Fortunately, that day, they offered a "First Available" option, which in desperation, I agreed to. My order then showed delivery between the next day, Sunday, through Thursday. As each day passed until today, Thursday, 4/9, the expected delivery window kept changing from whatever the next day was to Thursday. It was implied that today, Thursday, 4/9, would be the delivery day. Again, while anxiously a waiting the call that the Instacart shopper was on his/her way with the groceries, I received a message at 7:40PM that the order was canceled, not delayed, not rescheduled, not any offer of an option to get the groceries that we have waited nearly two weeks to receive.
Needless to say, I will email them to cancel my account and demand a refund of my monthly membership payment of $9.99. No sense in feeding this pig any longer. It doesn't even OINK!!! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
shopper is o.k., if the system is not cheating, it should be a time saver Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Beware!!! Awful experience, shopper was good but Instacart & stores charge much higher online prices, you get charged those prices not the actual store prices which is reflected on your bill. I was overcharged by $90, they try to tell me that is for taxes & tips, which is not true, $90 was in addition to all that. I was also charged for items not received, that is fraudulent, stealing extra money, taking advantage hoping customers do not actually read their bills. DO NOT USE THE SERVICE. The convenience at first is what I liked but the recent issue ruined it Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have used Instacart multiple times with no issues until today. My shopper delivered 3 items I had bot ordered and it appeared to b let a system glitch. I refused the items and they belonged to the customer he delivered prior. My issue is that his supervisor was no help and told me to send an email? This seems fraudulent and I wasnt surprised to receive no response their phone number was inoperable even for their employee. I will never use this service again. The best thing about Instacart is that you can literally get your grocery shopping done while being at work. As a result, it returns spare time to my busy work day. I mean who really wants to go to the grocery store right after completing a long work day if you can spend some quality time with your family at home instead? In my area, it competes with Amazon Fresh and Google Express with Google Express. While Instacart has reasonable pricing, both competitors are somewhat cheaper. At the moment, my family is mostly using Google Express, but I can easily see that changing once Amazon Fresh fully integrates Whole Foods. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

No matter what the weather is (I am a user from Buffalo,NY, which is known for its harsh winters), Instacart delivers your order at the scheduled time/with minimum delay. The customer service is very responsive and pro-active. The quality of goods up on delivery is extremely good and intact. Order tracking feature is another advantage. The delivery executives are very friendly and wait to ensure that someone receives the order. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not many stores are listed in their app. The delivery charge is bit expensive. Lack of live GPS based tracking making it ambiguous about the exact location of delivery executive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
