The interoperability of the solution with Cisco platforms and a very capable technical support service Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Although it is compatible with multi-brands, some of them do not have good service in solving problems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Most helpful is the ability to add groups of various devices and tie to groups of users so that on the right people and trigger the right messages. When various users log in, they can only send the messages they are approved to send and they can only send them to the destinations that they are approved to send to. There is little to dislike about Informacast. It's easy to deploy and manage, it's browser and os neutral, it just works... One frustration is that after sending an RSS alert, someone must log into the system a second time to send an "all clear." Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We just migrated from InformaCast advanced to InformaCast Fusion. Fusion is their in-cloud and on-premise solution that combines InformaCast Advanced and InformaCast Mobile. The migration was not very easy as you can't just transfer the data from one system to the other. However, once I mirrored what I did in Advanced, I was ready to go with Fusion. The actual setup for Fusion was pretty easy. The web UI is intuitive and easy to navigate; it is a much better interface than InformaCast Advanced has. Fusion is super easy to upgrade; you literally click one button and it downloads the file, validates it, and installs. The InformaCast mobile app is also very easy to use and train folks on. You can send an emergency notification straight from the mobile app in seconds. Licensing seems to have also improved in Fusion; it is more affordable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We set our emergency broadcasts to repeat infinitely, until we're ready to send an updated notification. You cannot stop a broadcast from the mobile app; absolutely essential feature missing!!! You also cannot send a new broadcast to cancel the old one either from the web UI or from the mobile app. Another essential feature missing. What good is the mobile app if you can send a broadcast but not cancel it? Might as well just train security to use the web UI since the app is worthless to us. Simple to use. Set it up, never touch it again. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The interface, although functional, could use some modernization. Setup on the Cisco side can be a little complicated, but no fault of Singlewire. I wish their licensing model was a little more flexible in terms if quantity of devices. I have some unused phones because I need 10 licenses not 50. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We like the ease of the UI, the way the speakers quickly register with the server and the flexibility of creating zones and groups to send notifications to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are some people that seem like they have not been in support very long and are not as helpful, with that said, the vast majority of those that I have worked with have been excellent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The instant alerts and notifications of 911 calls to desk phones cell phones and email. Being in a rural area emergency services can be a little on the slow side. With these alerts we can have nursing staff and security personnel onsite with in minutes of incident. The recorded 911 call also gives us insight into what is going on Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Was bit challenging to integrate with Cisco call manager Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One of the big selling features was price. We had not budgeted for a Mass Notification System when our old system stopped working unexpectedly. Not only was Informacast reasonably priced but we were able to get up and running again with enhanced features in a short period of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One of the downsides is the inability to select what method you receive messages. Some messages I just need a heads up on the next time I check my texts. Sometimes there are emergencies that I need to be notified right away. Having the ability to set those preferences for how the notifications come in would be helpful. The ability to schedule a variety of different broadcasts easily. We have several different announcements that need made over the paging system throughout the day. InformaCast does this easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I haven't found much to dislike. Maybe better notice about new versions and when support is ending for versions. I discovered by accident when I went to the support that the version we were using was no longer supported. It wasn't too big of a deal, the upgrade was fairly straight forward and I no longer needed support after the upgrade. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
