What do you like best about IBM SevOne?

IBM SevOne is one of a quality product that I have used for network infrastructure monitoring and management, the UI experience of sevone is very much better than any other network infra monitoring solutions and the features and functionalities it posess also very great. this can help us to get a great visibility to our network like which devices or interface or application using more bandwidth than normally used and we can also manage the issues manually or by applying policies to it. one of the other good features is it creates automated reports for application based device based etc and it will show us the overview with issues and alerts based on the priorities and this made my datacenter network much better. and the customer support also given for sevone good and we can use frequently for makeing the organisation network more better Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM SevOne?

The pricing of the IBM sevone is not suitable for smaller organisations and also the configurations and setup will be a challenge without an expert and also it will take some time to understand the UI completely, Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is IBM SevOne solving and how is that benefiting you?

IBM sevone is helping to monitor the network in real time for detecting any performance issue or any anomolies and which will detect immidatly. and also helping customer to create customised alerts based on the predefined thresholds and also we can create automated report using the tool. once you masterd the UI it will be very userfriendly solution to use. Describe the project or task IBM SevOne helped with:

Our team tried to simulate or recreate the experience and working of Network Slicing (NS), where inevitably my peers made use of Software Defined Networking. Created and maintained multiple network resources like virtual routers, switches, links and traffic managers was by making use of SDN concept. From my experience SDN, NFV, and NS are the future of networking field and core driving forces for all ultra low-latency applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about IBM SevOne?

SDN is flexible, exciting, and unavoidable in this Era. Networking facilitated by the software programming, by itself, has created more room for development than ever. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM SevOne?

It's exciting but sometimes confusing as it needs more white papers from different vendor applications. Pretty sure, industry adopts to it soon than ever. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is IBM SevOne solving and how is that benefiting you?

Many of the tasks were automated and tried to achieve the low-latency and less congestion in the network. The benefits are its outcomes, like super fast response times and less computational power usage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

(Original )Information
Describe the project or task IBM SevOne helped with:

We had a substantial complex computer network that was hard to manage for one of our significant customers. By implementing the SDN concept inside his campus network, the customer could manage efficiently, provsion, monitor, and automate his network smartly.

He now has complete visibility to what is running over his network, what trends of his running applications. He could now know what the actual resources usage he has and be able to utilize and customize these resources. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about IBM SevOne?

Complete Visibility, Full control, automation, ease of integration with other systems, and easy to manage your Network. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM SevOne?

I can see the only downside is if I am not making redundancy of my SDN controller, I will lose all the functions and operations of my whole setup.

SDN Controller is the brain of the whole setup, and lose it will affect everything else.

Penetrating an SDN controller or control it by a suspicious person also is a big challenge. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering IBM SevOne:

SDN is the future of the network, which is called digital network as it supports programmability, Automation, and ease of management and visibility, so this is the same message I try to deliver to my customers Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is IBM SevOne solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use SDN inside Campus Networks, inside Data Center, and inside WAN networks(SD-WAN).

the benefits I get are ease of Automation, Provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and full visibility Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about IBM SevOne?

SDN is a very basic need for any traffic management solution . one can use the ability to change traffic according to many parameters and not just the protocols used by IEEE . allowing a much better service to users Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM SevOne?

there some issues with having a centralized controller so it's not a real distributed architecture in its nature but it has grown much since 1.0 . lack of application level visibility or deep packet applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
